Great Place with Nice rooms. Completely open toilet though. Breakfast was so-so not Many options included

The facts:
Close to town, Chedraui grocery and plenty of restraunts a couple minutes walk away, ADO Bus 20 minute walk, pool, restaurant and bar, breakfast included, refrigerator in room, coffee maker, no microwave, toilet and shower had no door so some lack of privacy, smaller rooftop plunge pool, pools stay open until 9, there was bike parking and scooter parking (not sure about a car), AC cold and worked while I was there, TV did not have cable but did have streaming, I had a king bed, no issues with noise when I was there (September), solo traveler.
Opinion:
I really enjoyed this place due to affordable price, AC, pools, free breakfast, everything mostly walkable though I enjoyed renting a bike for a few days (hotel does not have bikes). I would come back again myself but if I bring someone else, I would prefer a bathroom area that is more separated and has a door. Hotel staff was friendly my entire stay (6 nights).
I recommend seeing the ruins (about 3 miles), doing the beach snorkel with rays and turtles, Dos Ojos Cenote, Gran Cenote. Plenty of cheap restaurants close by. I never got in a cab, I was told they were pretty expensive. Not crowded in September when I was there but hot.

It had beautiful aesthetics and so beautiful. The pool did not look so neat so was not swimming that time. The area has so many street dogs , so be careful when walking at night .

Zara and I recently stayed at Prana Boutique Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience! This charming hotel offers a tranquil escape with its intimate setting and beautiful design. Our room was cozy and tastefully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after our days of exploring.
The hotel's atmosphere is serene, with lush greenery surrounding the property and a lovely pool area where we could unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
The on-site restaurant served delicious, fresh meals, which added to the overall experience. We loved the personal touches and the care taken to ensure guests feel at home.
Prana Boutique Hotel is a true hidden gem—perfect for those looking to relax and enjoy a more intimate, authentic experience. We highly recommend it!

I liked that there are a variety of restaurants in walking distance of the property that were affordable. We were also able to walk to the shopping area for souvenirs and it felt safe. We enjoyed our stay here. Staff was very friendly and accomodating

My family and I enjoyed our stay . The staff was very friendly and the room was extremely clean and modern. The plunge pool in the balcony was definitely a bonus perk especially with the warm weather. There are many nearby shops and restaurants within walking distance off the main roads.

Nice and clean rooms. The pool was super dirty. You can tell it hasn’t been cleaned in months.

Only gripe is with the insurance. We missed a flight due to mechanical issues with plane. Couldn’t stay the first night. No refund. It was more or less marketed on your site that it would cover unplanned issues. It was not covered.

Property was great, however the pool was under renovation. We arrived at night, the bar tender on the roof top wasn’t there when we arrived, we had to wait for him and for the staff to turn on the jacuzzi. We found the drinks to be expensive $300 pesos per drink, but I guess that’s average in Tulum?!?

The location and service both very good. Walking distance to supermarket, restaurants, car rentals.

Traveled with my husband in February 2024. We loved everything! We had no complaints. We were a little nervous from prior reviews but we had a great experience. It’s clean, stuff is friendly, the pool(s) is on the roof. We always found parking and there is a big grocery supermarket type 5-7 min from the hotel. Then you are about 15 min walk from downtown where you have everything. We hardly moved our car. We would love to go back next year around the same time. It wasn’t too hot! In fact for us it was a bit chilly at night so we wore light sweaters everywhere.

we were in the presidential suite, the room was beautiful however the platform bed squeaked loudly with every move and mattress was terrible...the bed needs to be replaced
that said dont miss the hidden gem of the roof top plunge pools and sitting areas 360 view of sunset and Tulum

I loved this hotel. It’s brand new, great room and amenities. Rooftop and pool area is a highlight. The only negative thing I can say is that every room has a glazed window with no curtain which doesn’t make for an amazing sleep with light streaming in all night and early morning. That is the only thing- but it’s a design fault. Everything else I loved!

Beautiful property, the rooftop was a great place to hang out. Staff was pleasant but not always personable/problem-solvers.

Overall we had a really positive experience over our 8 nights. We liked the quaint size and it was very clean. The rooftop set up with the pools was a nice touch!
The main downside was that the hall lighting was on all nigh, and due to the unique placement of a bathroom window, it shone right into the bedroom. Made falling asleep hard. Convenient to have a major grocery store a few minutes away, so we could pop over and grab snacks!

Property is beautiful and room was very spacious and clean. Front desk struggle to do simple things like arranging taxis. Area directly outside the hotel is not appealing/ bit sketchy at night.
I would come back my next time in Tulum.

Upstairs toilet leaked into our bathroom. When we told the front desk she sent someone up mop it up. It wasn’t until I went back to ask that they moved us. To the 4th floor with an out of service elevator…
There was a rain storm that knocked all the power out. When I went to the front desk to check to see if they knew how long… we were told they do not know and that this happens every single time it rains… THAT SHOULD BE DISCLOSED! We checked out and went to the ALOFT (3 min away) who had power.
I called to get a refund and was denied so I’ll be disputing the charges with my bank…

This property is lovely! Our room was gorgeous. My problem was the room was dirty. The bed sheets had blood on them so o called front desk and they said they’d come and take care of it . The “ clean “ sheets also had blood. There was blood droplets all over bathroom floor and sink area. When we were checking out you have to wait while they check your room- they couldn’t find a hand towel so I had to walk back to the room and dig through the dirty towels to account for the towel employee couldn’t find.

The Prana Hotel was perfect for our stay in Tulum. We felt very safe in the area. The grocery store is about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. There were several places to eat around the corner along with the hotel's restaurant and bar. Downtown where all the restaurants and clubs are located is about a 10 minute walk. The beaches are about a 20-60 minute bike ride depending on which one you are visiting. It was a little confusing getting to the beaches.
Our room was lovely, with tall ceilings, a fridge and a/c. We absolutely loved the the rooftop pools and the large pool on the main level. The rooftop was quiet and relaxing with full sunshine. The pool on the main level was more shaded and had a livelier vibe with music and bartenders. All the bartendars where awesome! Front desk staff was really nice and knowledgeble.

Beautiful courtyard gardens with pool and bar. Good breakfast/lunch restaurant in-house. Close to shopping plaza for essentials. Decent sized refrigerator in room, all yours, not a rip-off minibar. Lovely balcony - make sure your room is on the good side overlooking the courtyard. Roof terrace with plunge pool and great views. Convenient for the busy part of town but a little bit outside in a quieter area. Friendly helpful staff.

Rooms are very loud. Other guests doors closing, talking, construction all seem to be magnified due to high ceilings, lack of any insulating fabrics, carpets, etc. which made it difficult to sleep. There is no place to put your clothes. They have a small rack in the room, but there is no closet or dressers. It was very bright in the room at night. There is no curtains on the interior frosted window so light from the hallway keeps the room bright all night. Our plunge pool quit working after day one. It was repaired once and then it stopped working again. One day we didn’t have any cleaning services. We were accidentally missed on the schedule. It’s a very pretty property and staff was friendly but I would not stay there again.

Hands down the best boutique hotel in Tulum. Argentine staff with Uruguayan ALMA! Keep up the amazing quality and you will win best small hotel of the year. I am one tough critic and you passed all 5 of my tests.
Gracias Prana. A

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect place: quietly romantic, beautiful pool, wonderful and attentive staff, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Loads of great restaurants (all walkable) and a bike rental place was just a few blocks away. Rosy, the concierge, was fantastic; she arranged transportation for us, helped us plan a day at a beach club, and was just plain wonderful. If you are looking for a stay in el pueblo (rather than at the beach) I highly recommend.

Beautiful new hotel in Tulum, great value for money. Room was spacious and comfortable, pool area quite small. Location is good close to a big supermarket and several restaurants, walking distance to centre of Tulum. For the beach you need bike or other transport. The only thing I didn’t like: there was no privacy in the bathroom (cheapest room type). Toilet was behind the wall with no door and shower behind glass wall. Who wants to use a toilet without door if you’re travelling with someone? I would stay here again but make sure I choose a room with a different type of bathroom!
