Lovely comfy king bed!
Kids beds were ok for them, not the best for adults.
Kitchen was very well kitted out.
We loved the deck area with bbq and big dining table - perfect for eating outside in summer.
The balustrade on the mezzanine floor was a bit wobbly for my liking - just told the kids to stay away from it.
1.0 / 5.0
The location was close to town and near the river, however there is no easy access to the river, and you could not see it from chalet 2, you had a good view of the chalet next door and their outdoor area, which was not great.
The chalet needs a lot of work, walls had patches everywhere, bird poo on the outdoor chair, outdoor table was old and poor condition, inside doors peeling and not painted properly, very old wardrobes, kitchen table shabby, filthy placemat on table, floors looked very dirty, tiles on floor in kitchen have chunks in where things have been removed. Bathroom mismatched paint work, pathetic tile decor on wall. Shower recess old and shabby. Wall paneling throughout chalet is in poor condition. Lounge suite cushions were filthy. Second bedroom looked very shoddy. Kitchen windows dirty and lots of cobwebs. False advertising of location, and the picture in this review is not even from the chalet we had. Way overpriced for what we got. Don't trust the photos online.

Had everything we needed, a nice quiet location close to the river and the town.
Needed a code to unlock the BBQ

The chalet is in a quiet, beautiful location with the river on your doorstep. Well equipped for a self catered stay.
The main bed was a bit hard for my liking, (but my husband liked). It was particularly windy the first couple of nights and the tree branches were banging on the roof upstairs which frightened my daughter in the mezzanine area.

The surroundings were nice. Patio area relaxing.
We were led to believe we could easily go kayaking from our cottage. Yes the inlet was across the road from us, but it had a very steep, vegetated bank, that we could not carry 4.5m Kayaks with rudders down. Had to travel each time to Kayak. The bathroom was very ordinary, with shower, that had a partly blocked head. Lounge and bed were not very comfortable. Also lots of rules and reminders about the rules.

The door key lock was very easy especially with us having a late check in.
With the property offering a fireplace we feel an added bonus would be a bag of food on arrival. This would add to the excitement of arriving and starting a fire and settling down. The wood is not that expensive and would be a great addition or draw card.

Anytime you used the toaster the power would cut and the hot water didn't last long in the shower. Apart from that it was good
3.5 / 5.0
Clean, comfortable, well appointed, everything needed for self catering was there.
Hot water service wasnt on. Had to get into the electrical board to turn it on.
Shower head needs replacing.

Comfortable and clean chalet for 2 in a great location. Fully equipped with everything we needed, large fridge and stove. Definitely stay there again.
