Paraíso en el Caribe

Nos encantó el emplazamiento del hotel, realmente es un lugar privilegiado. Cerca de la ciudad, pero sin ese ajetreo, con playas, restaurantes y paseos muy especiales. Además, el personal a cargo era muy simpático y atento. Tenemos muy buen recuerdo de Carmen, que fue un encanto con nosotros, ¡Muchas gracias!

Piece of heaven

This is a super unique place sitting directly on the water. It’s very peaceful and the staff is so warm, friendly, and caring. It’s gorgeous you can literally jump into the water from your bungalow! The room had every amenity you need and hot showers. There are activity books as well as restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff is very accommodating for any activities and there is much to see in the area. It’s a very beautiful place!

Grateful for laundry service but was pretty hefty, other than that no complaints whatsoever!

Night stingrays below your balcony! Magic

Dreamlike experience over the water! We have seen several giant stingrays, passing just under our bungalow 2 evenings out of 3 we had!! Just stay on the balcony wait and watch! That was amazing! The bungalows are very well maintained, of a good wooden quality, everything is Caribbean style bright and lovely. The shower worked perfectly. Adorable experience. Those who complain about boats - come on, it is a mode of transport on that island, apart from that the island is car-free and bikes-free, it is fully pedestrian, which we found very unique. We had earplugs and slept perfectly.

We wanted to spend more time there! Loved it!

Amazing location!

The location was amazing and had options for drinks and dinner in the proximity. It was one boat away from Bocas town, but it felt really remote. You could also see a lot of marine life from your deck. We loved this location. The staff was also very pleasant.

sometimes the noise of the crossing boats, but nothing out of the ordinary. Also, even though not related to the accommodation, you should be aware of the stray dogs on the island.

Bungalow with stunning sea view

Bungalow is located on a small quiet beach on Isla Carenero, a water taxi away from the hustle and bustle of Isla Colon. Nestled in the middle of a friendly neighbourhood of locals, and a short walk away from the few restaurants and bars on the island. Adriano and his staff are some of the nicest people you could meet in Bocas, When he's not busy in his office, you can find him during breakfast flipping omelettes for his guests :)

The occasional mosquitoes, but shouldn't be a problem if windows and doors are kept shut.

Nothing in Bocas comes close to this

The location was absolutely amazing. We had the last bungalow in the row so we were able to literally jump off our balcony into the water to swim. The staff was also incredible, the owner was quick to help in any way he could, which was really nice when our AC started leaking. And the woman who made breakfast was so lovely

It would have been nice to have a ladder or something to allow us to get out of the water right back onto our balcony. The AC was leaking, which isn’t anyone’s fault, but it wasn’t able to be fixed that day and we weren’t given the appropriate materials to handle the leak (we ended up putting an empty trash can under it), but again, that is nobody’s fault.

Nice quaint centrally located hotel for a good value for money.

Very centrally located hotel. Nice little bungalows over the water. Rooms have everything you could need. cable tv, Wi-Fi , outside patio, air-condition, Private bathroom, small fridge. A stone's throw away from Bocas Town and Caranero beach. Various restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. Plenty of boats and water taxi's passing by so it is relatively easy to catch a ride. The breakfast area is very nice and breakfast itself was basic but very adequate and tasty. Friendly staff , who did not speak English, but that is luckily not an issue for us.

The hotel cannot arrange water taxi's for you. So you need to wave at the boats passing by hoping that they will stop for you. The room is very noisy due to the traffic of boats passing by and the noises of parties from Bocas town. This was the case two out of the three nights we stayed.

Great location. Beautiful bungalow. Great service.

The complimentary breakfast was great. The chef was very nice and made tasty food. The water was beautiful with cute fish and lovely sand. It’s straight out of a postcard.

I don’t know how you could possibly complain about a beautiful bungalow over the water.

Superb

Perfect location, close to everything but not in the noisy center. Room is well equipped. Nice staff and good breakfast. Amazing morning views. Also it was fun to watch sea life. Wifi was working (3/1 Mbps)

Very relaxing

The location is wonderful, only a 3 min water taxi ride to main island. Taxi is a dollar. Beach is very nice but small and island is quiet but for the taxi boats that are running back and forth. Breakfast is good and made when you order.

Rooms are sparse but over the water. They are very clean.

Little piece of paradise

We loved our stay. Very peaceful, clean, beautiful view and great room. Bathroom was also lovely with strong water pressure and hot water. You can lie on the deck and enjoy the scenery, and watch the marine life below. We would recommend staying on this island as it’s very easy to get to Bocas town but also a pretty island and where the surf is if you’re keen to do that. We also enjoyed the included breakfast each morning.

There was a hotel very close with nightclub music which we didn’t expect. It didn’t disrupt us every night but it’s a lot louder than we had expected on the island (Bocas town is notorious for loud music but not Carenero island)

Unique and amazing place to stay, definitely recommend

The space is awesome. You have your own little cabina right on the water. We had the last cabina which meant it was deep enough to jump off our own porch and swim right from our own space. It was so beautiful and a very unique experience. The breakfast included was a nice bonus feature as well. Friendly staff.

The only thing to be aware of is that Bocas is a party town and even though we were on the different island from all the main bars, you can still hear the music till 5am from the bars on Bocas Town. This is not the fault of Faro del Colibri but something to aware of if you are a light sleeper because as well the boat taxis run as late as the parties taking people to other islands so you can also hear this boat traffic throughout the night. Not ideal for light sleepers but for us was not a problem.

Perfect over water bungalows, excellent breakfast, exceptional view

Photos don’t do this place justice. It’s absolute paradise! The room is much nicer in person. The view is absolutely gorgeous. It’s nice being a bit further away from Bocas town, but a $1 water taxi away, so easy enough to get over there. There are a few great restaurants and cafes on the island, easy access to other islands. All the amenities you need are available. Breakfast was exceptional. Management was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

The only downfall is the noise, which isn’t on the property. Do bring earplugs, especially on weekends. The music is pounding from Bocas town from 1-4 AM, and you can hear water taxis going by, but if you have ear plugs for the weekend nights you won’t be bothered.

A nice little gem with best location!!!

Perfect location, away from Bocas town hustle and noise yet just a short 1$ taxi water away. So quiet, fishes under your faro and small beach to cool down,, clean water and breeze there. And yet able to walk to 2 restaurants within 100m or so Highly recommend BiBi's food, happy hour and music😁 Breakfast quite nice daily and smilling and very helpful staff

Probably in need of refresh but nothing critical, TV not really working well and internet patchy but overall great value for money. We highly recommend

The cabins were functional. Not all that comfortable.

The property was what was advertised. You get what you pay for. A rustic functional cabin. The breakfasts were quite good.

Had we known that it was in the middle of all the water taxis going to and fro - very noisy- I certainly would have looked at another island location.

Special Place in Bocas

It is a very special accomodation in Bocas. The bungalow was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. Breakfast is nice. The noise made by water taxis was mentioned in multiple comments but for us it really wasn't as bad as we were expecting after reading those. We barely heard them and there was almost no taxis going after nightfall, maybe being in a bungalow closer to shore reduced the noise for us.

Lounge chairs on the deck weren't the most comfortable but to be honest with that view it doesn't really matter.

- tasty breakfast - extraordinarily friendly stuff (helped us to book a transfer to our next destination) - watching the sun rise over the sea from the bungalow terrace - close distance to bocas town (by water taxi) and dive shop and other shops on carenero

- shower does need some maintenance - outdoor lounger needs some cushions

Great stay
