Such a nice and cozy comfortable house. The homey decor and welcoming layout makes you feel right at home. Short walk to the beach and a quiet small neighborhood. The house had everything we could need from kitchen utensils and spices to beach equipment! Hosts are super kind and responsive. Great place

This is a charming house; well equipped kitchen, lots of games, books and a myriad of beach accessories that were available to use which is so generous! Really short walk to the beach area. The lighthouse is also a short distance which is definitely worth the visit. Property manager is great to work with!

Quiet and quaint. If you are looking for a getaway, this is the place. Clean and well stocked- very much appreciated for a quick trip to end the summer.

This house was super clean, felt amazing. It is equipped with anything you could possibly think of for your relaxation, beach day or staying in. There is nothing negative that I can add to this review, book it! You will not be disappointed. The owners were super responsive and accommodating. House has plenty of space and yet felt so cozy.

Lots of wonderful memories being made at a great home and beautiful beach!! Can’t wait to return!

My family, friends, and I truly enjoyed our long weekend stay. All the amenities you can think of were available, especially beach gear. The beach was a walk down the street and it was mostly bare (on Memorial Day Weekend!) Addtionally, it was a quick and easy trip to a Calvert Cliffs. I highly recommend staying here. Space is a little tight, the only flaw.

This was the perfect weekend getaway for our family. The Lodge had everything we needed and more. Found lots of sea glass on the beach, which was just a short walk away. Thanks again for a lovely time away.

We had a wonderful time at Cedar Beach lodge! The kids enjoyed hunting for sharks teeth on the beautiful beach!

Highly recommended! We had a wonderful long weekend at Cedar Beach Lodge. The house was exactly what we hoped for - light-filled, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, gas fireplace indoors for chilly March mornings, and a short walk to the beach and lighthouse at Cove Point. Our kids were delighted to find Miocene fossil shark teeth and shells. The owners were responsive and kind -- we'll definitely be back!

Our family stayed here with another family. The place is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised by all the beach gear they provided. We spent the day swimming and fossil hunting. Love this area, it’s a quiet getaway close to DC. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at the Cedar Beach Lodge. The location was perfect, tucked in the trees and a short walk to the beach! The property had everything we needed (beach toys, wagons, puzzles, bikes!). It was easy and comfortable and we hope to visit again soon.

What a lovely way to spend a few days for Thanksgiving. The kitchen was perfect to get our meal cooked and served. Easy access to the beach made the after meal walk delightful. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Four of us came together for two nights after not having seen each other for at least three years. There could not have been a Better place for us to reconnect laugh and create stories. Look no further on VRBO.

Excellent communication with the owner and a great location for children. The neighbors in the area seem very friendly and advised our kids on how to look for shark's teeth on the beach. We had a wonderful stay.

This house is fantastic! I love the community. It's small and private, meaning no crowds or noisy parties. We met quite a few neighbors, all of whom were very friendly and helpful. The house itself is on a private wooded lot. There were deer in the front yard when we arrived. This is probably the cleanest and best stocked house we have ever rented. There are a lot of thoughtful extras here, from supplies to beach equipment, even bikes. Owner communication was always very fast and friendly. I really couldn't ask for anything more. We will definitely be back!

This house is easy to be comfortable in right away. Kitchen was well stocked. House was clean. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Short walk to the extremely quiet beach, in fact, we usually had it to ourselves. No biting flies at the beach. Easy walk to the lighthouse. Be sure to visit it if you are there when it is open. Close to Solomons Island restaurants. Very reponsive owner. See you again!!

This is our first year staying in Cedar Beach Lodge, and it certainly will not be our last! I have so many great things so say, but I will sum it up to this. Our family of 4 1/2 (My husband, myself, our 2 boys and our pup) and our extended family (same count as us) enjoyed our 3 nights and 4 days stay at this property. We had plenty of room and space for all of us throughout the house. The host is so accommodating, providing plenty of activities for the whole family! We were so impressed of how fully stocked, clean and organized everything was. The beach was within walking distance of the house, it was private and quiet and dog friendly which was a plus for us. The house itself sat on a private lot surrounded by trees. The wrap around deck with the screened in porch was the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, watch the sunrise/sunset and just enjoy the all around serenity of the place.
We can't thank the host enough for sharing this beautiful home with us. We can't wait to book our next trip here! :)

This was a wonderful rental that met our needs for a weekend getaway that also included our 2 dogs. The property had everything you needed plus more along with a short walk to the bay! Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful rental.

We had an amazing time during our stay. The house is great. Neighbors are friendly. A short 5 minute walk to the beach. The local restaurants are amazing. And Ms Deb the property owner was amazing.

Perfect home for our large family of six with EVERYTHING a family needs - pantry, utensils, bathroom, w/d, TV, fenced in porch...all fabulous. Perfect weather made it even better!!

We enjoyed very much.

We had a wonderful family gathering for Thanksgiving at the Cedar Beach Lodge. A short walk from the beach, the three bedroom house was clean and inviting. A beautiful setting, we walked the beach, looked at stars at night and relaxed in comfort. We just had a great time catching up.
Without a doubt, Cedar Beach is the best stocked rental home we have visited. Every dish, pot or utensil we needed to cook our traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings were there. Even a salad spinner! Bikes, beach chairs, toys for all age groups, and plenty of information about local attractions. The cable and internet was fast and consistent. This was important as we had adult children who had some “work from home” to do.
The owner, Deborah, was easy to work with and quickly answered the few questions we had.
Without a doubt, we highly recommend this property and will try to get back there soon.

We were all happy with the accommodations. The house was clean and well kept and had more of the small necessities you need to stay than we expected. The beach was close by and good for a walk and find fossils. Great for a family or for friends. We would visit again. Thanks!

We had a wonderful time at Cedar Beach Lodge for a quick family getaway with my in-laws and our 2-year old son. The house was exactly as expected and worked great for our sleeping arrangements. While the crib was a great option, we actually set up my son in the closet in the Master Loft to provide him a more quiet space while the adults were still awake. The house had a ton of beach furniture and toys, so we loaded up the beach cart and spent all day looking for shark teeth and playing on the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and a perfect space for what we needed, with plenty to do in the town nearby. The host is super responsive and very helpful. This house was perfect for a quick weekend getaway from the DC area!

The house, neighborhood, and beach are incredibly clean. The private beach is a short walk away and a large cart was provided for all your gear. Our dog loved swimming and running around on the beach too. There are nice attractions and restaurants all within 20 minutes of the house. We didn't utilize the fire pit because it was too hot and the grounds around the house are very wet and muddy. The screened porch was wonderful for relaxing and keeping the bugs away from us. We really enjoyed our week and would like to visit again.

We had a wonderful weekend. The area is nice and peaceful. The house was super clean and well-stocked with everything you need. The host was very responsive. Thanks!

My husband, his friend, myself and our dog had a nice relaxing week. We went to the local beach, local pool, local lighthouse, the Solomon's island boardwalk and the Annmarie sculpture garden. It was a very relaxing time in a very quiet community.

This property had so many extras such as towels, well supplied kitchen, beach items. The beach umbrellas were an added bonus! The washer and dryer were so handy and detergent was supplied. With this property you had the woods and the beach. Wonderful stay!! We felt right at home!

We had a great week. House was incredibly stocked. Grill was a great addition to the week. Private beach was wonderful and nice quiet Nieghborhood.

What a lovely location for my husband and me, our daughter, our son and his wife, and their 1 and 2 1/2 year olds to connect for Thanksgiving! The owner was delightful during the booking process and any communication to her was answered promptly. This home was immaculately clean with a charming beach theme decor, and beautiful views of the woods. It is well thought out and organized for comfort and convenience with so many details like memory foam mattress toppers, night-lights, mirrors in all bedrooms, comfy throw blankets, highchair, well equipped kitchen, nice furniture, TV, wi-fi, etc. as advertised. The upstairs master is very spacious with its own bathroom and a closet large enough to hold the pack-n-play we brought for secluded sleeping for the one year old. The crib nook is less than ideal (we didn't use it) due to the loft nature of the master bedroom and the impact of kitchen and living area sounds from below. The two downstairs bedrooms are snug, but very comfortable. The continuous kitchen, eating, and sitting area is adequate for six to eat or sit comfortably. We were blessed with unseasonably warm weather for November and spent every morning on the beach, pulling the baby in the plastic wagon supplied in the storage area (much more was available too, like beach chairs, bicycles, sand toys). The beach is gorgeous, secluded, and offers shells, shark teeth if you are diligent, driftwood, logs, and a a fun place to walk and wade (a great surprise for November). We loved our lunch out at Stoney's Kingfisher's nearby where they had delicious crab cakes and shrimp, as well as landlubber options. We would highly recommend this home away from home.

We loved our lodge by the beach. There were an amazing amount of beach type gear in the crawl space - our kids loved digging for sharks teeth and shells at the beach with all the shovels and such!! And although the A/C had issues when we first arrived, you were amazingly quick to get it sorted - even on a Saturday! The location was perfect for us and we so enjoyed your piece of heaven in Solomons Island! We will be back!

If you want a quiet, relaxing break, we highly recommend Cedar Beach Lodge. We vacation regularly at the Outer Banks of NC. This is so different, but we loved it. At the lodge you're nestled among the trees with deer eating in the yard and then escaping into the edge of the marsh. The marsh birds are your alarm every morning - I believe about 6:12 a.m. Then you walk out to the end of the driveway, the winds off the water meet you and you start to hear the waves from the Bay. We walked to the Bay every morning for the sunrise then walked for hours looking for sea glass (which was abundant) and shark's teeth (which were a challenge).
This was our first trip to the Cedar Beach Lodge and we plan on it not being our last.
The Owner of Cedar Beach Lodge, although not right there with you, was your cordial host. Very pleasant to work with and always ready to promptly answer your every question.
Thanks, Deborah, for a much needed break from our work-a-day world.

Our first family vacation in many years and couldn't have picked a better place.
My parents and my brother and his wife had never rented a vacation home before so it was a new experience for them.... and they LOVED it!
The deck is a perfect place to hang out and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit out in the yard was awesome! For those in need to be connected to the world, there's wifi and cable TV.
I highly recommend this place.

We had two families and a dog stay at Cedar Beach Lodge in April 2012. We loved the property and the neighborhood, and the beach is simply beautiful. The house is well equipped and very well kept. The yard has everything you need for a great stay - we cooked barbecue and enjoyed watching the wildlife! The owner was very responsive and provided all the information we needed for a comfortable stay.
Highly recommend and plan to come back soon.

My family and I stayed at this lovely spot for a week in mid-August. The house truly has everything you need for a fun AND relaxing stay at the beach! We came all the way from California for a true East Coast vacation experience, and it was one of our favorite trips ever. To be just an hour away from the sites in Washington D.C., but also in a peaceful, beautiful beach area was fantastic. The house was beautifully decorated and well stocked both inside and out (a lot of beach-going amenities to borrow!) I had no idea how much I would love the outdoor shower - perfect for after a jog and of course for after a day at the beach! Cove Point is a sweet little community with friendly people, and Lusby has a nice selection of stores and restaurants to pick up necessities. Thank you, Deborah, for making your home available and so very comfortable. We forgot to jot a note in the guest book, but know that we had a marvelous experience!

Our long weekend at this lovely home was everything we hoped. Our four children loved the property. We especially enjoyed the long, screened-in side porch with the rocking chairs and cozy sitting area and the close proximity to the private beach. The bedrooms are very comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Main floor laundry and well-appointed kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and keep things clean. We had a one-year-old with us who shared the master bedroom which was a bit difficult because the main bedroom is a loft that is partially open to the vaulted ceiling of the greatroom so putting our son down for a nap and even keeping him asleep at night was a little difficult. If we had had the master bedroom to ourselves the fact that it was a loft would have been wonderful. Just a caution to others who intend to use the nursery area of the master bedroom that it may be worthwhile to bring a portable crib to be used in one of the other main floor bedrooms. We wished we had.
Deborah, the owner, was so pleasant to deal with and very accommodating and simply kind.
We searched for sharks teeth and the kids jumped in the water. A few jellyfish but small ones and it is September so we expected it.
Overall, a lovely, low-key family getaway.

Well-equipped, clean and modern house 2 blocks from the beach. Quiet beach cove on Chesapeake Bay with ocean like feel. Good email communication from owner. Screened in shaded porch and deck with umbrella. Master bedroom is a loft without a door. Surprised to find such a pleasant, quiet, laid-back area so close to metro Washington. Had to leave home to get mobile phone service but wireless internet available. In a small residential area with friendly neighbors.

This is a lovely cedar lodge with many great features -- well decorated and comfortable. The master loft is huge and a well equipped bathroom. The porch is a great place is relax, read and watch wonderful wildlife. There is a great fire pit that is perfect for roasting marshmellows and listening to the owls off in the marsh. The biggest surprise was waking up in the early morning to find a large bald-headed eagle hanging out in the pine tree outside the master bedroom window. Had the beach practically to ourselves except for the locals walking their playful dogs. It was great to be able to bring our dog along. Thank you.

My husband, son(2 years) and I stayed at Cedar Beach Lodge during a terribley rainy weekend in October. Despite the weather, we had a wonderful time! The house was spotless and decorated so beautifully! The covered wrap around porch was perfect to sit and watch the rain fall with a cup of hot chocolate!
I would highly recommend to anyone!
