Breakfast and the sun room were great. The side rooms were cozy and private
This is more an external factor. It is not the easiest place to get to. That said, that is the point of a place like this, to be tucked away.

We stayed in the Washington Suite. It had a beautiful view of the river. I enjoyed the fireplace and relaxing in the jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was amazing! I would highly recommend this In for a wonderful getaway!
Nothing. The owners were so nice and accommodating. Beautiful Inn.

Clean beautiful setting! Hospitable! Wonderful breakfast!

The exceptional Washington Room and main floor renovacation and elegance and wonderful breakfast.....
Not knowing, we had booked a king bed room on the renovated attic third floor(beautiful room). Being 80 years old with balance and knee problems this was the recipe for disaster. The innkeeper graciously moved us one to his best rooms, The Washington Room, on the first floor. Booking. com needs to include floor level in room description.

Breakfast was fantastic. Location was good but hard to find at night.

So delicious!
I didn't like the protective coverings on the mattress and pillows. The pillows were like balloons - air was trapped inside.

The Inn is in a secluded location close to a vast body of water, its historic premises are beautiful and nicely appointed. The staff is kind and friendly. Breakfast is good. Staying at the Inn, walking in its many rooms and wandering in its extensive garden you breath the atmosphere of past times. It is a fabulous and most rewarding feeling.
The internet connection wasn't working at the time of my visit.

Great food And accommodations. Excellent knowledge of history. My wife found that she enjoyed the most comfortable pillow and she she was given to new pillows. Christmas comes early
Nothing. Truly enjoyed our experience we were met by a gentleman

Breakfast was fantastic
Lots of places to hang out in the inn
I loved walking the grounds & visiting family ancestors graves.

The rooms were nicely appointed. The bedding was nice. Food was excellent. Grounds were lovely
The mirror in the RE.Lee bedroom was mounted upside down. Not sure if it is the ceiling configuration. Anyway it is trivial but since we needed to put something was imperfect, that would be it.

Absolutely the best placed we stayed on our New England trip. The Historic Home of American royalty, was stunning and the owner and staff friendly, accommodating and delightful. The fresh made to breakfast was the best we have had in any venue, ever. The room was very large and spacious, the bathroom was grand with large Jacuzzi tub and separate tiled shower and luscious towels and robes. The grounds were immaculate and such a great setting next to the bay. I would highly recommend this property to any person that likes a bit of history and a quiet wonderful place to stay and enjoy the Williamsburg area.
There was nothing here to dislike.

Breakfast was superb in every detail. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The general accommodations and grounds are lovely. The staff were super friendly. Would have liked there to have been a bar or restaurant on site but the ones 10 minutes away recommended by the staff were excellent

A spectacular property - a lovingly restored historic home. Wonderful grounds. The owner was on site when we were there, and clearly cares about making sure every little detail is perfect for the guests.
