About this house rental
Waterhead Cottage is within 5 -10 minutes walking distance of all the shops, restaurants & lively waterfront of Salcombe. This four-bedroom house sleeps up to 8 people and is ideal for family holidays by the sea. The property also has off street parking for 2 cars. As with most properties in Salcombe there is a walk down/up to the town and the beach! Babies that are not crawling are welcome but no children under 4 due to the amount of steps and our concerns for guest safety.
Warm and welcoming with fresh interiors in an understated coastal style, guests are greeted by a space to hang coats and shoes before heading into an open plan living, kitchen and dining area on the ground floor.
The kitchen has all the mod cons including electric induction hob, oven & dishwasher.
The dining table seats 8 and the living area has comfortable sofas and a flat screen smart TV. Double doors lead out onto a balcony with table & chairs for 4 and stunning views towards picturesque Salcombe & the estuary and hills beyond.
Heading upstairs, you will find the master bedroom with king-size bed and plenty of storage. Guests will enjoy a private balcony with stunning estuary views & an en-suite bathroom with bath & overhead shower.
From the living area head downstairs to the lower ground floor where guests will find a further 3 bedrooms; a double, a twin and a bunk room (only suitable for children aged 4 -14 years). The bunk room also has a smart TV and DVD player. The modern family shower room has a walk-in shower.
To the rear of the house is a patio with table & seating for 8, perfect for al fresco dining. There is a further comfortable seating area for guests to enjoy the afternoon sun.

A Holiday in Salcombe: Salcombe is a historic fishing and sailing town that has become famous as a holiday destination because of its natural beauty and its local charm. Blessed with more beaches than you can visit in a week, a jaw-dropping estuary and magnificent walks along the South West Coast Path, it’s also filled with local traditions. For example, there’s the Town Regatta, excellent sailing opportunities, its own gin and ice cream factories. In fact, Island Square sits opposite Salcombe Gin Distillery, which has a bar overlooking the water serving gin cocktails as well as excellent coffees. You can’t leave without sampling the town’s unparalleled clotted cream fudge, visiting the magnificent bakery and restaurants such as Dick & Wills and The Winking Prawn, which has practically become a rite of passage for visitors.
