The location of this house can’t be beat. It was very clean and the kitchen had all the essentials and more. There were 4 couples in our group. Since it was football season, the guys were a bit disappointed that there was only one small tv in the entire house. The bunk room doesn’t have a ceiling fan so it tended to be hot and stuffy. We did find a fan downstairs on day 2 that helped some. Despite this we all had a great time and would definitely recommend this house to others.

My three girlfriends and I rented this home for 4 days/3 nights for a girl's vacation. The house has so much character and unique decor/features/layout but the best part of the property are the views! The photos on the listing do not do it justice, as the marsh extends for miles and surrounds a good 60% of the home. The house is at the end of a little street in a quiet neighborhood, so it is quite private. The property is also frequented by cranes, egrets, gulls, herons, crabs, turtles, frogs, swallows, vultures, and we even spotted a roseate spoonbill (pink bird that isn't a flamingo!). Even though it rained 90% of the time we were there, we still got some pool time in, and sitting on one of the two screened-in porches reading and chatting and watching the rain was incredibly relaxing. The beds were comfortable, on the firmer side, and if you're particular, I would recommend bringing your own pillow. The twin bed downstairs and the bunk beds upstairs were on the shorter side and may be most appropriate for younger kids or shorter folks. Comfy linens were provided, including plenty of bath towels. Kitchen storage is a bit lacking (no pantry) but we made do with using counter space. There is one pretty small, smart TV. People who watch a lot of TV/movies on vacation may not enjoy the small size or fairly quiet sound (recommend a bluetooth speaker) but it was perfect for our group who were not focused on television. Communication was great with management regarding a possible earlier check-in. Everything was spotless. I did want to comment about another review left here that said that mentioned "many problems" which include sewage & pool. We had no sewage issues - one of the upstairs bathrooms makes occasional weird plumbing noises but that didn't affect anything and water pressure in the showers was good. There was no recycling bin outside but there was a large trash can. We didn't fill it up so we can't speak to a need to put it out by the curb, etc. We also had no pool issues - it was as clean as I would expect an outdoor pool to be on a windy day. I suspect it had been cleaned the day before and some leaves blew in. No big deal. We've already talked about potentially coming back next year and making this a recurring vacation!

Loved the pool and marsh setting.

The only thing we loved about the property is that it is on SSI, which we always enjoy and visit nearly yearly. I hope you print my comments in full so others would be forewarned of the many problems. I also would not stay in this property or recommend it to somebody else unless all the problems are addressed with the sewage, pool, kitchen storage for guests and sufficient info (garbage pu day, etc) is posted at the house or in the documents received after the house is booked.

We loved the private pool and watching the sunset behind the marsh. We also loved feeding the turtles and watching the crabs migrate to and from the pond.

Pictures don't always portray an accurate description and you are disappointed when you see the real thing. This was not the case with our stay. Beautiful, tastefully decorated, quiet and serene. You can get to good restaurants within 30 minutes. Pool was great! I highly recommend!

The pictures on this listing don’t do it justice! Beautiful clean home - peaceful, quiet, upscale and well appointed. The pool was amazing and the views even better. We will be back!

We stayed with 5 adults and a few kids. It was the best wknd we've had in a very long time. The pool was loads of fun! The sunsets across the marsh, poolside, were glorious! We normally love exploring the other islands; Jekyll, Driftwood Beach...but we didn't go anywhere all wknd, and were completely content. We fed the turtles some watermelon and watched them snack. The kids fondly named the crabs "marsh spiders", and the egrets and cranes "dragons".
My husband officiated his sister's wedding at the property, and it could not have been anymore beautiful. Her navy veteran husband was beyond impressed with the decor. It went well with our kilt wearing, traditional Scottish ceremony.
The house was super clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable, restful, spectacular stay!
Don't forget your sunscreen and bug spray! The skeeters and horseflies were a little rough. We could've used some more comfortable bed pillows.
But our stay definitely gets a 5 star rating!
