The bedside lights appear to be controlled by the switch at the entrance door. This could cause some inconvenience when I only wanted the bedside lights.

I recently stayed at The Study and I absolutely loved it! i had a cirner riom with great views! The location was perfect, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful , and I especially enjoyed my time at Dear Charles, the restaurant/bar downstairs. The overall experience was delightful. I felt safe and loved being so close to Homewood campus of JHU! I highly recommend staying at this hotel to anyone visiting Hopkins.
I am not sure why the toilet paper holder was behind the toilet. Very odd and hard to use.

Modern decor and conveniently located
I had high hopes for my stay at The Study at John Hopkins. The hotel itself was lovely and conveniently located, making it an ideal choice for our brief visit to attend a dinner party. However, our experience was marred by unwarranted harassment and profiling from the staff.
Despite neither myself nor my partner indulging in marijuana, we were accused of smoking in our room, two nights in a row. After explaining our innocence to a manager named Kareem I thought this was resolved and accepted being compensated with a subpar meal. However, to add insult to injury, we later discovered a $250 charge on our credit card, supposedly due to a faint smoking smell detected by housekeeping.
It's frustrating and disheartening to be treated in such a manner, especially as young black professionals who pride ourselves on our class and sense. My partner, a Software Engineer, and myself, a stock broker, have stayed in numerous upscale hotels without ever feeling as unwelcome and profiled as we did at The Study. Our experience was shaped by my partner’s appearance (she has locs and was dressed comfortably in sweats because we were flying) which should not be grounds for suspicion or discrimination. I’ll be escalating my concerns to corporate, but just wanted everyone to be warned.
Overall, our experience at The Study at John Hopkins was deeply disappointing, and I cannot recommend it to others who value fair treatment and respect from hotel staff.

I liked the staff. I liked the cleanliness. I liked the location. The shower was nice. I liked the keycard elevator.
1) Hidden fees. Was quoted a price for two nights/double beds and upon check in it was $200 more. 2) No vending. 3) No ice. 4) No breakfast. 5) No room service.

Nicely appointed rooms, great location for visiting jhu, great staff.
Would like coffee in room (they do have it in lobby.) Alarm clock not working. Windows need black out curtains, light leaks in from street lights around the edge.

Staff was very friendly and helpful
I was told the restaurant and bar would be open but it wasn’t. I probably would have stayed elsewhere . No coffee maker, fridge or microwave?

Loved hanging with family and playing games on the comfortable lounge furniture on the main floor. Great decor. Hotel Manager spent time telling us what we needed to see and where to eat while in town. Front desk sraff were very friendly and helpful.
