We loved our time at The Avery. The hotel was clean, well decorated, and close to everything in Boise. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. The restaurant was amazing, and the bar in the back had great cocktails. Our bed was comfortable, the shower was fabulous, and the toiletries were locally made. We love Boise and The Avery will be our hotel choice every time we visit. I highly recommend this hotel for your next trip to Boise.

We like staying in hotel that have character. This one fits that bill. It was charming. The pictures of the type of room however was somewhat deceiving. Our room was very compact. There wasn’t a lot of room to walk around. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The coffee maker used Lilly coffee which was good to wake up to in the morning.
The staff were always friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay her again. It was within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and shopping.

A gem in Boise. We had a wonderful stay at this small boutique hotel. The hotel is full of character and charm, something I always look for in a stay. It was clean, quiet and cozy. The hotel staff were wonderful and accommodating. We had brunch at the adjoining restaurant and it was delicious. When we come back we will be staying at the Avery.

This is an old style hotel that has been upgraded to luxury standards. The rooms are small, but very well appointed. Robes, soaps and toiletries are all top notch, the sheets are crisp, the shower hot and everything is spotless. Unlike many revamped hotels, a/c was perfectly silent. We had trouble with our tv and after a short delay, we were upgraded to a better room. We parked on the street with no trouble although secured parking is available a couple of blocks away. Restaurants are within walking distance. The service was very friendly and professional. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great spot

I sat in the lobby for 20 minutes before walking into the bar section where staff was laughing and chatting. When they realized I had been standing there waiting, the front desk staff came over and was relatively pleasant to deal with. My main issue, and the reason that I left to find another hotel was the complete lack of viable parking options. I was told there was no off street parking and that I needed to park at the public garage which was a few blocks away. I had no interest in packing my gear and supplies back and forth for 3 days to a garage that was not near enough to the hotel for my needs. I simply walked out and didn't return.

Amazing property with a beautiful esthetic. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Also loved how quiet the property was, got an amazing night of sleep. Highly recommend.

They no longer have Valet parking which makes this Hotel very inconvenient to stay in. Location is downtown and guests must find their own parking.
Big miss by the Avery.

The respiration job they did if this historic building is incredible. Loved my cozy room. Great early 1900s authentic decor. Front desk staff was amazing and helpful. Loved going to Tiner’s Alley… so convenient! Wish I could’ve stayed longer!

Unique and convenient stay! Will come back and make time to dine in the hotel restaurant.

I like the old fashioned feel of the decor - it feels like the building's true era. Confortable and clean with a spa-like bathroom. Love the soaking tub.
4.8
Not worth the price. This hotel was more expensive than the Grove and Hotel 500 with WAY less amenities. First of all, they no longer have valet parking no onsite parking. So you have to park in one of the public garages downtown several blocks away. No complementary breakfast (was $75 for two of us) and the room is tiny. No view as it is blocked in by other buildings. There is also no hotel lobby, just the bar area. Definitely stay at another hotel that has free onsite parking, free breakfast and a better view. Won't be staying here again.

Very friendly staff. The restaurant is very good! I love the style of this place. I’ll stay here again for sure.
