Whether it's a quick 'Nip' to the shop or a leisurely stroll to family restaurants, an adventurous hike around the coastal footpaths, or a sedate evening cycle, your car can also enjoy a break.
Woolacombe's Golden Sands and thriving village are less than two miles from your doorstep, easily accessible by road or footpaths.

From the minute you open the door the warmth and light captured through the floor to ceiling patio captures your attention. The elegance of the feature room, the open plan living / dining area is mirrored in every room through quirky finishing touches.
The arrangement of this area, encourages the whole family to stay together whether preparing food in the spacious well-arranged kitchen area, or from the comfort of the quality fabric sofa creating the ideal position to watch the children playing in the extensive safe enclosed garden before all dining together, with the choice of the large dining table or stepping out through the patio doors and dining Al-Fresco on the patio table and chairs whilst absorbing the rural views.

Master bedroom with king size bed, ample storage and Television- situated opposite the bathroom. Bedroom Two- downstairs with 'Zip and link' twin beds (can also form super-king) this bedroom also offers ample storage and the privacy of an en-suite shower room with shower, W/c and basin. Bedroom Three- located downstairs offers a comfortable double bed, and ample storage, this bedroom also offers an en-suite shower room with w/c and basin

'The Sheiling' offers a private sun trap enclosed garden and patio area with furniture, accessed via a side-gate from the private drive or through the patio doors. There is a further small lawned area alongside the drive at the front of the property

Leave Barnstaple on A361 towards Braunton / Ilfracombe. Go straight-on through Braunton. Continue for approx. 5 miles until you reach Mullacott Cross roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout onto the B3343 towards Woolacombe.
Continue for approximately 1.5 miles, the road bends hard to the right, there is a pink house on the corner. Continue around the right hand bend, past the turning for Mortehoe on your right hand side.
You will notice the Fortescue Restaurant on your right hand side, please continue past the Fortescue Arms and take the next turning on the left signposted 'Tarka Lane' with character stone wall.
Please pull onto the drive of number 14

The house has great potential - a lovely bright and airy property, garden west facing, secure and excellent for a young family and the house is in a good location (although not walking distance to the beach as the listing states).
There was one big thing that really lets it down and would stop us returning - all the beds are terrible! So very uncomfortable and old (I found a tag on one saying it was made in 2013). No mattress protectors were used and when I stripped the bedding (as requested) at the end of the stay stains and even stray hairs were visible, urgh! (good job I only saw this at the end!!). We have stayed in many hotels and houses and never have I been so relieved to get home to my own bed!
The house could also have been cleaner in general and it was frustrating that despite the premium price point we had to take our own towels.
We had a brilliant week in Woolacombe and loved the area but wouldn’t return to this particular property due to the awful beds - owners please get some new ones and use mattress protectors on them, have a thorough clean and we’d be back!
