The property is poorly landscaped and is clearly the black sheep of the neighborhood. Upon arrival, the code to retrieve the key did not work. We contacted the property manager who told us a key would be delivered but not for a few hours 2 1/2 to be exact. He also informed us that the property was not likely cleaned after the previous guests left. That was an understatement. Upon entering the premises we found all the rooms to be unclean, floors dirty, dust hanging from ceiling fans, air intake vents clogged with dust. unwashed dishes in the dishwasher, dirty refrigerator, carpets, sofas and chairs. We were originally told that a cleaning crew would arrive but the property owner declined to provide cleaning services that evening and told the property manager that "we could leave", which I did contemplate were it not for the fact that we were there for a wedding. I would have left and immediately contact my attorney. A cleaning crew did arrive at approximately 6:30 p.m. and did a fantastic job. Her name was Theresa and she and her crew were great. I would like to add that the property manager Steve Smith who we dealt with, did his best to make things right and he should be commended. Unfortunately he is not on sight which limited his effectiveness and he also had an owner that I really have nothing good to say about. These owners should not be in your system and you need to do better due diligence is screening them. Would not use or recommend Vrbo to others.

It was great to spend time with our family and celebrate birthdays and a special anniversary. That being said there were a few things that need attention. There were
ants in the kitchen area. Sofa in the living room was full of pet hair. Outdoor shower was not functional. Many of the bedroom TVs were not connected. More than 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel per bathroom were not enough.

We had an AMAZING time this past week at the Duck Social! The convenience of the beach as well as walking to the downtown area of Duck. There was 14 in our tribe and we all loved the house and being able to have our own bathrooms. Enjoyed the pool as well as the volleyball court (we played a lot of badminton there, brought our own stuff for that). Would absolutely stay there again!!!!

The home was as described and we had a wonderful time catching up with family. Proximity to beach, community pool and house pool made everything even more enjoyable. Pool cleaner arrived on the second day and this was a notable improvement.
No complaints, owner responsive quickly to requests. We had internet outage and this was easily rectified.
Duck is a beautiful community and easily walkable. We had a wonderful time in the home.

We had a great stay! We were early season and right during an owner transition, so some things weren’t quite ready for prime time, but the new owner Steve was super communicative and responsive! So no doubt it will be even more amazing for the next crew!
There was a lot to love about this property! There was a full bath in all 7 rooms, which made access and showers perfect for our crew of 12. And everyone always had a hot shower! The outside spaces are plentiful with nice decks. The provided beds, linens, and towels were great for a rental! The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes and cups. The home was very clean.
Best part was the 5-7 minute walk to the beach and the clubhouses with indoor and outdoor pools, playground, and courts. A really nice added bonus! There is parking right by the beach entrance so can shlep your stuff easier if not wanting to walk.
We had a great stay and would do it again!
