Welcome to your home away from home in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where the
days are long, the nights are star-speckled, and time moves slow as a lazy river.
From the moment you arrive and take in your surroundings, you are enveloped in
feelings of tranquility and contentment. With the first deep breath of the crisp
mountain air, you feel stress melt away... to be replaced with the stress-free joy that
comes from staying amongst the trees and clouds.
Rustic charm and modern creature comforts is what you and the gang get at High
Country Lodge [working title] — your home base for an adventure-filled mountain
getaway. Are you ready for the coziest, most relaxing retreat ever?
On crisp north Georgia nights you’ll get the best sleep ever in one of four roomy
bedrooms, then rise and shine to long days spent in leisurely comfort — or outdoor
adventures. Cook and share meals, stories, and laughter inside or out on the
spacious deck; unwind and soak in the jacuzzi overlooking miles and miles of
foliage and rolling mountains; have a fire-side movie night in the living room — or
head down to the firepit outside with a cold beverage and make memories as
sparks rise up to join a million stars overhead.
When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find Blairsville and Blue Ridge — two of the
most charming little towns in the state. Rolling vineyards, orchards, charming
country stores and sprawling state parks, and much more to explore on one of
Georgia’s most scenic drives.
Settled in the 1800s, Blue Ridge was just a railroad stop. Now one of the state’s
beloved mountain towns, it features boutiques, galleries, restaurants and
breweries.
Named for Revolutionary War hero James Blair, the tiny community of Blairsville is
nestled in the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Two
beautiful lakes — and the Appalachian Trail cutting through the area — are just a
couple of things that make Blairsville a nature-lover’s dream.
After a day of hiking, rafting, sipping on wine and spirits, exploring mountains and
national parks, and strolling picturesque streets, come home to your cabin above
the tree line and let the evenings be a time for sharing, play, relaxation, and
connection with your friends and family. Pro Tips & Local Wisdom

The property was lovely. I would advise you to ask for directions ahead of time. My GPS took us down paths that were not actual roads and they were not easy to travel. The proper roads were great. The property manager has accused us of damage that we did not do. However we did not take pictures when we got there to prove we didn't do it. She has said she is collecting quotes and plans to charge us. I will dispute it. We have stayed in many vrbos and never had this experience.
