About this cottage rental
Commanding spectacular views of the nearby castle and coastline, Arfryn is a fabulous traditional Welsh cottage in the heart of Criccieth. With three bedrooms, sleeping five in total, it's a great base from which to explore the Llŷn Peninsula and the nearby mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia).
The front door of the picturesque, mid terrace stone property leads into a bright and spacious lounge area, allowing light to flood in from the south facing windows. With a modernised interior, a bright red two seater fabric sofa sits alongside three armchairs surrounding a central coffee table on a large round rug. A Smart TV is located on a unit in the corner of the room with additional side units and a floor standing lamp, offering cosy lighting in the evenings.
A door to the rear of the room leads into Arfryn's dining room and kitchen areas. The dining room with a black slate tiled floor, is the perfect space to gather for breakfast or dinner, seated at the farmhouse dining table. Pine units run alongside the side wall of the room and a red cast iron range fitted into the chimney breast completes the layout. A doorway leads into the adjacent galley kitchen. Whilst narrow in width, there's a handy hatchway between the kitchen and dining room allowing it to still be a social space. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of counter space along with a washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven and hob and a full height fridge freezer. A door leads from the kitchen to a raised wooden deck and outdoor seating, which is a perfect private spot for gathering in the evening for drinks, or al fresco dining if the weather is kind.
An open stairway from the lounge area leads to the first floor of this traditional Welsh cottage in the heart of Criccieth, comprising three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom to the front of the property is a spacious and bright room with views overlooking the greens outside, across to Criccieth Castle, offering glimpses of Bae Ceredigion (Cardigan Bay) beyond. A double bed is located centrally between two bedside cabinets with lamps and a bright green blanket on the bed offers a splash of colour to the otherwise neutrally decorated room. Coastal artwork provides a nod to the seaside location of the property.
The second double room, tucked to the rear of the property, includes a double bed with patterned throw, two bedside tables with lamps and a clothes rail for storage. The smaller third bedroom features a single bed, alongside an armchair and chest of drawers, ideally suited to a child. Completing Arfryn's layout, the family bathroom includes a walk in shower cubicle, basin with vanity storage unit under and a WC.
A maximum of 1 dog is welcome at this property.
