The location of this property was perfect! So close to the harbor, great restaurants, shops, Doc Martin’s house, Ruth’s house, and the Atlantic Coastal pathway.

The property was is a really lovely spot in the old part of Port Isaac, a short stroll to the harbour with good restaurants and pubs nearby. The beds were super comfortable. It was good value for money
We felt the property description wasn’t accurate at all.
First it said that parking was available at the property. After booking, we received a message to say that the parking spot was on the other side of the village, a 15 minute walk away, and this was only for one car (we had two). I messaged the property for more clarification on this and never got a response. We could pull up to the property to load the car. It was nearly impossible to get the larger car down the road. This made for a very stressful experience upon check in and check out. And as booking.com told us check out was at 9:30am this was even more pressured. We weren’t really in Cornwall for leisure, but for a funeral, so the parking situation was really inconvenient.
Second, the property was advertised to have a garden. This was something critical to us as we had two dogs. It turned out the garden was a 50 yard walk up the road and had not been maintained. It was completely unusable. The grass/weeds were a foot tall. One dog found a dead frog. The house was for 6 people but there was only outdoor seating for 4, also the table was covered in bird poo. The bbq advertised was completely rusted and full of water.
The property itself was fine - quite tightly cramped and smelt a bit of damp, with some scurrying above our heads at night (rats maybe?), this more expected when staying in an old property.
Upon booking the property it became clear that the third party listing the properties were Skye Cottages. Honestly the worst customer service possible. Did not respond to messages, if you called them you were sent round in circles on their automatic response system for 10 minutes before they said to use the messaging system and cut you off. I received automatic messages from them most days repeating the same check in information which was completely overwhelming and unnecessary.
