This is a beautiful home in a very nice location. We were 5 adults, 2 children, and two 60 pound dogs and we had more than enough room to spread out and not feel crowded.
The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, and pots and pans. We loved sitting on the covered front porch in the morning to drink our coffee and the deck was also very spacious and a great spot to hang out.
There are 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and 2 window AC units that keep the rooms very cool (2 of the bedrooms are connected by a door, so the 1 window unit would cool both rooms as long as the connecting doors were open). There are no window units on the first floor, and it was quite hot when we were there (over 90s) so it did get uncomfortable. Amy was always available and very easy to talk to. During our stay, she ordered a portable AC unit that was shipped and delivered overnight. This really helped cool the 1st floor down and made our time at the house so much more comfortable.
We walked over to the private beach, but it is too small to stay for a beach day. If we had our kayaks with us, it would have been a great launch point, although there are a lot of stairs to walk down with the kayak.
There is a grocery store and liquor store a short distance away. The shops in Bristol were really cute and nice spot to walk around. The Bristol Sunset Cafe and The Beach House were delicious!
As mentioned above, Amy was AWESOME!! Overall, a great stay!!

What you’re looking for in a New England stay. Modern kitchen is great.

The home was exactly what you should expect from an old charming New England home. The location was a perfect homey neighborhood and the host was super accommodating which really did set them apart from other rental homes i’ve stayed in. There were definitely some negatives worth noting. The home had no ac on the bottom floor at all, which made it pretty uncomfortable during the middle of the day in July. Would have been nice to been aware of that prior. The other thing is the landscaping needed some work, the photo of the outside of the home isn't recent

Stay was good but do not list a hot tub if there is none, ice maker doesn’t work, it’s not 20 minutes to downtown Newport it’s 40 other than that it was good but you can tell there is a dog there , put hand soap in kitchen and bathrooms

Quick 5 night stay. Old home built in 1850’s with a lot of character and upgrades. No A/c except in 2 bedrooms. Some window fans available..it was hot but best place I found was on front porch….facing water behind trees…that was my happy place!!!
Back deck was nice but too hot to stay on (wish awning had worked for shade.
Beach access was private but one street over. I’m from beach areas so for me it was not a pleasant beach..No sand (more mix of gravel and sand) very rocky…definitely need beach shoes.
I went to enjoy peace & quiet and did exactly that!!!

We stayed for 4 nights in mid- late June. The weather was unseasonably hot and the house does not have central AC. The owner was nice enough to put window units in 2 of the bedrooms- which helped but other rooms got very warm. The house is historic (which I Ioved) and has lots of character. Lots of living space and nice deck. Kitchen was recently updated and well equipped. Water is nearby. Shops and restaurants are not within short walking distance (1 mile min). There is a small park with swings for kids close by (5 min walk).

This home is open and airy, has a wonderful front and back deck. Quiet neighbourhood and close to water and parks. Nicely furnished to match its historic structure.
