About this house rental
Stunning Lochside holiday house near Skye. Stationmasters Lodge overlooking Loch Carron is a large holiday house with 8 bedrooms (some ensuite).
Stationmaster's sleeps up to 18 in comfort and is a superb base for exploring the west coast, Plockton & nearby Isle of Skye. Pets welcome.
Our house is perfect for groups, family gatherings and groups of friends with cosy log-burner, huge dining table (sits 16 and converts into a pool table) and amazing lochside views. Close to many attractions: Plockton, Isle of Skye (20 mins drive), Portree (1 hr drive), Inverness and Fort William (1.5hrs drive).
The kitchen has a large 6 burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge. There is a TV with NETFLIX as well a selection of DVDs. A good selection of board games, pool table.
The Lodge is heated by a powerful wood pellet heating system and is always warm and cosy. Its the perfect base for a relaxing holiday on the west coast amongst wonderful loch and mountain scenery.
Please note our housekeeper lives in a flat to the rear of the property. she will not impose on your stay or enter the part of house while you are staying and you should not see her, unless there is a problem and you need help with something.
There is no shop in the village, nearest shop are in Kyle with a good sized Co-op (20 mins drive away)
There is a train station opposite the house. Stromeferry. The house was built for the stationmaster when Stromeferry was the main port for the North West Highlands and Islands. The train now continues through to Kyle of Lochalsh. There are 3 trains in each direction Mon - Sat and 2 each way on Sundays. Inverness 2 hrs, Kyle 25 mins.
