PEACE AT WYNNDY” HILL ON PLEASURE POINT
Looking for a place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the water, away from the congestion of over populated areas of the lake? We have the perfect place for you. “Peace at Wynndy Hill” is located just off the main channel of the Tallapoosa River near the center of beautiful Lake Martin in the Pleasure Point area off Highway 34.
Our quiet cove has good year around water and it is perfect for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing – out of the main traffic lake areas. Our home has a main level and a full basement level that opens out into a spacious yard that mildly slopes to the water. No steep steps or steep yard to get to and from the water and boat house. The boat house has room to dock your personal or rental boat. (Rental boats available just across our cove. Very handy!) The boat house deck (with ceiling fan) and floating dock offer areas for shade and sun, including an umbrella table and chairs for “picnic” meals if desired.
The main level has an open great room with gas log fireplace, dining area, and full kitchen area with 2 sets of French doors that open out onto an 804’ covered porch with a 55” TV and wood burning fire place. This view gives you full lake views from the porch and living area. Outdoor dining, morning coffee, afternoon happy hour, naps and watching football in the fall while enjoying a toasty fire in the fireplace make this property truly your “home away from home”! The full kitchen has double wall ovens, microwave, 6 eye gas cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, and undercounter ice maker. Socialize around the large granite island while making your meals, as well as serving your meals The main level has one master king bedroom (water view) and adjoining master bath with a full bathtub and a full separate shower. The laundry room with washer and dryer are also on the main level. A guest half bathroom is located just off great room area.
The full basement has a separate large great room area and a partial kitchen area with an ice maker and kitchen sink. Great room area provides for 3 additional “common area” sleeping places in a dual stadium seating/ TV watching type format. This area is great for kids. The basement provides one master king bedroom with adjoining master bath that has a bathtub/shower unit. Another king bedroom shares the bath that adjoins the master bedroom. The third bedroom in the basement has a queen bunk bed and three twin bunk beds. Just outside of this bedroom there is a full bathroom that includes a shower, toilet, and vanity. The basement has three sets of French doors that open out onto an 804’ covered porch giving you more breath-taking views of the lake! The basement porch offers ceiling fans, eating area, sitting area and porch bed swing that is a favorite for afternoon naps. This porch is about 40’ from the sea wall and boat dock area. An outdoor yard swing faces the water for quiet afternoon reflections.
The public boat ramp on Hwy 34 is about 2 miles by road and maybe 3 minutes by water from our dock. We are just off the main channel of the river, mid-lake and convenient to Chimney Rock, Chuck’s Marina, Peanut Point and Stillwaters.
We have exterior video home monitoring cameras for security purposes only. This system records all entrances of the house and boat house area. We do not have cable. Roku and Netflix are available for streaming devices with your personal sign on. We offer 4 – 55” televisions for use.
Parking is available on the front concrete driveway. Dependent on size and how vehicles are parked, this area will comfortably accommodate 6-8 vehicles. No parking on the street.
Maximum occupancy 14. No pets allowed. No smoking.
We require a signed Rental Agreement, government issued photo ID, credit card and deposit prior to your stay.
Every attempt is made to assure that everything is in good working condition prior to your arrival. In the event something needs attention, please know that we do not have 24 hour on call service people available to us. We do have a full house propane generator that will automatically come on within one minute if the power is disrupted. It will automatically turn off when power is restored. We ask that energy be conserved, even though it is considered “whole house”, they do not recommend running everything during this time. (Please don’t run washer, dryer, fans and things that are not absolutely necessary during the outage. Heat and air units are fine.) HVAC will have to be turned on when an outage occurs (after the generator has turned on and running continuously)…HVAC does not come back on automatically after power has been disrupted to avoid damage to unit.
We will make every effort to promptly repair any problems that you may have during your visit. But there may be times when a repair person may not be readily available, and the problems will be attended to as soon as possible. Guests must acknowledge and accept this possibility and rent the property fully aware that refunds will not be given due to after-hours repair people not being available in our area. We reserve the right to enter the premises to implement repairs at any time, doing our best to give adequate advance notice to you. There may be times when that is not possible. There will be no refunds given for trip interruption due to acts of God such as tornado, hurricane, lightning strikes, power outages (in the event the act of God destroyed the generator), etc.
We do not allow third-party leasing or sub-leasing. This house is available to adults and families (at least 30 years of age).
No smoking inside dwelling.
No pets.
We are about 30 minutes from Jordan-Hare Stadium and Auburn University.

This wonderful home was the perfect setting for our first extended stay on Lake Martin. The home was actually better than the photos depict, with every little detail thought of by the owners. Everything we could have needed and more were found in this beautiful and well cared for home. The host was so accommodating and let us dock our boat on their roomy dock a day before we actually arrived. The amenities were abundant & we tried to take advantage of them all - stand-up paddle, lake kayaks, etc. One of our most treasured memories will be the majestic bald eagle that did at least a daily fly-by in this quiet and beautiful cove. What a sight!!! The location of this property was perfect for us - not far from the infamous Peanut Point, the Ridge Marina, etc. I cannot say enough about this beautiful home, the location, and the warm welcome we received in the way of little details. Thank you for all of the amazing memories created during our stay!

Had family, friends, and their children come in for the week to ski, wakeboard, tube, paddleboard, and did I say Tube?? Location was absolutely perfect for paddle boarding in the cove where the house in located (safe for the kids with little boat traffic). Also, A perfect cove directly across the lake for all of the boating activities. Conveniently located to Chucks (25 min boat ride) and other amenities. The house is perfect for relaxing and spreading out. The bottom floor housed all the kids and provided two separate private floors. The actual home is top of the line and all the amenities are beautiful. already trying to go back next year!!

What a treat! Betty was probably the best communicator I have ever rented from. Always helpful, understanding and very considerate. This house is beautiful inside and out and has everything you need to enjoy beautiful Lake Martin. Great cove and Great location on the lake. Perfect amount of amenities to keep everyone active. The Decor is perfect. Such a beautiful house. From swimming in the cove, to drinking coffee out on the deck in the morning to cooking and grilling, our group had a blast. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had an awesome time with family and friends. The house was better than advertised. It is in a great location to swim and play and boat in. The owners were great to deal with. They were in constant communication making sure everything was perfect for our vacation. We will definitely put this place on our list to rent again.
