This property is a great place to stay. The cabin is well equipped with almost everything you could want or need. Cable is not great. No Phoenix local chanels so no local news.

Had a great gateway weekend. Chase was great at communicating with us and remained attentive throughout our stay. The cabin has everything you need and more. Highly recommend!

This was a nice cabin to stay in for a family of four and a dog. The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook easily throughout the week. The fishing was within walking distance. The owners gave detailed information about the place so we were able to make use of all the amenities available. We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin had everything you would need for a long weekend or longer ! It was clean and so cute. The host really went out of their way to provide info on things to do in the area. There instructions for directions and how to use things , left nothing to guess about . We will be staying here again this next year

Super cute cabin in the mountains of Payson. Neighborhood is nice for walking, beautiful river runs through the neighborhood. While we didn't play in it, I did see many families playing in the water. Elk wandered by the house one morning. Nice private front deck so you can enjoy morning coffee in your jammies. Very family-friendly. Community center has ping pong table and lending library. Only complaint is neighbor dogs all around us barking for hours on end, starting as early as 6:30am. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Myself, my husband, and our three kids (age4-12) came to stay for 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to several of the hikes we enjoy in Payson, as well as being able to walk to go fishing and the community playground. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the front porch and the cabin had everything we needed. We had a very enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was perfect and just what we needed to escape the valley. Chase was a great host and the welcome binder they created for guests, was very helpful. The place was clean and comfortable and had everything you could possibly need! We especially loved our mornings on the patio. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! Cabin is well equipped with more than just the essentials. Decor is very cute and accommodations very comfortable. Loved being able to walk to the river and the park every day with our dog. We would definitely consider staying at this cabin again.

We loved our stay at this peaceful cottage! It's a very cozy home with modern updates in the kitchen and bathroom. Everything was very clean and the owners welcomed us with complimentary snacks, coffee and a bottle of wine! The place is beautifully decorated. We loved the cozy fire stove, and our dog enjoyed exploring the fenced yard. Hiking trails just minutes away. We will definitely be back!

The entire property was exactly as depicted; clean, cozy and came with various amenities. The location was remote enough to be secluded but not too far out of town to not have access to things if they're needed. We didn't bring our children on this particular trip but I observed a ton of family-friendly activities to get into! The only problem we encountered was not having enough hot water. There was hardly enough for one shower (less than 10 minutes) but that'll just mean allowing time in between individual showers. Overall a fantastic stay!

I reserved this cabin for an elk hunting trip that I had planned with family that was coming in from out of town. With some of us getting up in years, we figured staying in a cabin would be wiser (and easier on our bodies) than tent camping in the mountains in December, and we were absolutely right! This house is located perfectly for anyone looking to hunt or fish in Unit #22N. Even if we had decided to tent or RV camp, we would not have been closer to the prime locations. The cabin is up to date and nicely furnished. There's a fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances, cookware, dishes and any other amenities you may need. The dining area, like the rest of the cabin, is nicely decorated, with touches to remind you that you're lucky enough to be staying in the mountains of the Mogollon Rim. The cabin also has a recent model washer/dryer in an amply sized bathroom next to the master bedroom. After a hard day's hiking, I found the living room, with its wood-burning stove and comfy chair and couch, to be the perfect spot to relax and watch some football games on the TV (and maybe nap a bit). The exterior of the property is likewise attractively landscaped and decorated, with a lovely deck and outdoor heaters. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and would heartily recommend it to anyone considering a stay in the Payson-area. Dollar for dollar, the value far exceeds any hotel you may find.

This cabin was such a delightful place to spend a few days in the mountains north of Payson. Quiet and peaceful area. The wonderfully equipped kitchen had everything needed. Really enjoyed lunch on the deck and stargazing around the firepit. Will be back again!

This cabin was perfect for us, kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. It has a beautiful, fully fenced in yard that our dogs loved. As others mentioned, there is a barky dog in the house right behind, was only an issue for us when our dogs were out there and the other dog would start barking at them. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from the main drag in Payson. So you are out of town, but it’s not too far to go out to eat or go shopping. We’d definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at this cabin. It has everything you need and more. It's in a great location not too far from the middle of town, but far enough away to feel like you're away from everything - it's in a cool little neighborhood. The outdoor space around the cabin is nice, too.

Simply put, this is my 4th time staying at Trout Cabin and I'm going back up again in 3 weeks. Love staying here and so do my dogs. So relaxing and peaceful. When walking through the neighborhood, everyone waves and says hello.

Cozy with everything yiu could possibly need. Including wine and snacks. Pack your clothes and enjoy. These hosts are amazing and you will feel it when you walk in. We feel very blessed to come across this amazing home. We will be back for our third visit shortly.

Josh....just wanted to drop you folks a line...we totally enjoyed our stay at Trout Cabin.....so clean...so well appointed in so many ways....beautiful scenery and creeks....amazing. We have stayed at many upper-end hotels that cannot even compare to our stay at Trout Cabin! We WILL come back again ....for a longer stay! We had an amazing stay! Our first night we knew we already wanted to come back. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Plenty of seating for meals indoors or outdoors. Enjoyed every morning with a cup of coffee on the front porch. Cant wait to come back soon.

This cabin and the location made our trip so enjoyable! We had every amenity we needed, even laundry supplies! The location is perfect for hiking and offroading trips. It is just a couple miles from the parking lot of Water Wheel Falls. My daughter and I had a great time and plan to return! HELPFUL HINT: Get your Tonto NF pass on the way in at the kiosk on the side of the road just before/after Shoofly Ruins.
