Quarters is a cottage is set over three floors with four bedrooms: one super-king-size (zip/link can be twin on request) with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, two king-size (zip/link can be twin on request) with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, and one king-size (zip/link can be twin on request). There’s a bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, and a cloakroom. There’s an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, a dining area and sitting area with a Smart TV. Central heating, WiFi, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Outside there’s off-road parking for three cars and EV charging available for one car. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Nearest shop and pub in 0.1 mile. Quarters is a perfect base for a Cumbrian break, being centrally located in the village of Ambleside. Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants, and pubs in the village to suit all tastes, including the popular eateries of Misto, Sheila's Cottage, and The Lily Bar. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.

The Quarters is a beautiful and perfectly located property. Though we never found out how to connect to WiFi and couldn’t get the clothes dryer to work, it didn’t impact the enjoyment of our stay. We loved it and would choose it again!
