Summary:
Centrally located in downtown Woodland Park, yet in a quiet neighborhood, The Downtown Nugget is the smart choice for your lodging needs when visiting the Colorado Rockies. Easy access year round and a short walk to shops, restaurants and bars on our downtown strip makes this place a favorite when planning your trip. Your furry friends could tag along as we are sure they will love the large fenced-in backyard. Just let us know you plan to bring them before booking.
The Space:
The well appointed 3 bedrooms, 2 baths could easily accommodate up to 6 guests with plenty of room for everyone. The two lower bedrooms and walk-in shower with sitting bench and grab bars are great for guests with mobility issues.
Open concept space including living room, dining table, large kitchen and work desk allows for everyone to be included in the fun. Board games, card decks and puzzles are provided to keep you entertained while you unwind in the evening after a long day of fun activities. A pack-n-play and high chair could be made available upon request.
The place provides three comfortable beds to give you a restful sleep, one king size in the upper level master bedroom and two queen size in the main level bedrooms. Private deck off the master bedroom overlooking Pikes Peak. Washer and dryer and two car garage with remote control door are available to all guests.
Large deck off the living room appointed with a gas grill and outdoor dining table leads into the extra large fenced in back yard. Although in a central location, the place is roaming with singing birds, hummingbirds, squirrels, chipmunks, deer and occasionally a bear or mountain lion. Beware of your small pets left unattended in the backyard after dusk. A large group of deer is residing in the neighborhood and is often seen taking a break in our front yard. Please be respectful and kind but do not attempt to feed them. Feeding wildlife is prohibited by the city and you would want to avoid the large fines.

Smart TVs in the living room and bedrooms with free access to Netflix and Hulu. Cable TV is not provided. Feel free to log into your own accounts to other streaming networks just log out before checkout for your own protection. Fast speed Internet with free WIFI and work space.
Guest Access:
Guests will check in themselves. Initial access to the home is through the front door using the provided 4 digit code. Afterwards they can choose to use the garage door remote control to pull in with their vehicle and use the entry from the garage. Do not forget to return the remote control to assigned location prior to checkout to avoid replacement fees.
The Neighborhood:
Centrally located only a block from Woodland Park’s downtown strip, the house is part of a quiet residential neighborhood at the edge of the commercial zone.
Please be respectful towards our neighbors as they are welcoming and happy to give you additional information about your surroundings. We are a short drive from many popular trails. We recommend downloading AllTrails App to get information, directions and current conditions to all nearby trails. For a bite to eat, gourmet coffee shops or a quick supply or grocery run, Woodland Park offers a large variety of restaurants, coffee shops, boutique shops, grocery stores and a Walmart for anything you might have forgotten at home 3-10 minutes away from the house. In case of any medical emergency, UCHealth Pikes Peak Regional Hospital is only 8 minutes away on Hwy 24.
Getting Around:
Personal vehicle is needed. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended during snow season (October - April). The Downtown Nugget makes a great home base for trips to many nearby tourist attractions including Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, The Manitou Incline, Seven Falls, Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George, Old Colorado Springs, U.S. Olympic Training Center, North Pole Santa's Workshop, The Broadmoor Hotel and many others. See flyers and brochures available in the house for additional attractions. Guests who love the outdoors will find great hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, golfing, and fishing all nearby.
Other Things to Note:
We pride ourselves in providing a clean and tidy space for all our guests. Due to high interest and accepting same day reservations, we want to allow our cleaner all necessary time to thoroughly complete cleaning and disinfecting tasks. For this reason we are not able to accommodate late checkout requests. Please plan accordingly and book the correct amount of days as to allow for a prompt 11 AM checkout time. A late checkout fee of $150 will be added to your reservation costs if house is not vacant by 11:30 AM.

Very nice house and the location was great and easy to get to. Very clean and well stocked. We weren’t in the house much but loved that we had AC when we were … hard to find in woodland park properties so that was a big plus. One of the only properties we have stayed at that had everything in the house labeled and easy to figure out what switches belonged to what, etc. Had directions on how to use everything in the house. Overall a very nice and clean property that our family enjoyed and will most likely stay again if we go back.

We had a great experience staying at this property. It is exactly what it shows online. The place is neat, cozy and spacious. It is well stocked and has all the necessities needed. It has a nice fenced in backyard for our dog. It’s perfect for our family. The property owners/managers are very responsive. The location of the property is also close to grocery stores, local restaurants (loved Red Diamond Gastro Pub and Sam’s Gyros & Kabobs) and attractions (The Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Seven Falls, just to name a few). We highly recommend this place.

Thankyou for having such cozy home for us to stay in. We were so thankful for all of the extras. You absolutely thought of everything , the cleanliness and organized living space made the entire stay enjoyable and easy to maintain.
