We stayed in town for a festival and ended up extending our trip.
The hotel has recently been renovated so the rooms are really cute and the price was great compared to others in the area.
The location was perfect. There's a 7/11 accross the road and walking distance to restaurants.
Free parking on-site was a plus, and the staff were all so lovely. Would definitely recommend.

The room was spacious and considerably larger than those in most motels, with enough space to comfortably fit a lounge, small table and 2 chairs. There is more storage area than present in most motels. The bed was comfortable and free from dust (fixed after earlier reviews). Plentiful hot water. The manager was welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic and obliging and keen to demonstrate that earlier negative reviews had been acted on, including taking us to see the room before handing over the keys. We were given an “upgrade” room - in truth, one of the few rooms in the complex renovated and available away from the dust of demotion and renovation. The property is located within walking distance of the Lake and recreation areas.
We booked when first listed before reviews appeared. The motel appears to have been purchased by new owners after the site had been sadly neglected for many years. Only a handful of rooms have been renovated ready for bookings. The owners clearly have a vision for the property. If one looks one way the neglect and decay from the past is seen in peeling external paint, rusted fences, garden waste, badly broken pavement and water damaged doors. Look in another direction and it’s a construction site with skip bins, piles of building materials, many gutted rooms and the noise and dust of cutting concrete even on a long weekend. Although dust had largely been removed from the room (4) thick concrete dust covered timber blinds, and window sills and a thin layer of dust was apparent on the backs of chairs and the floor. Workmanship on room refurbishment lacked professional finesse with unfinished tiling edging, rough grouting and grime on windows and tiles. Grub screws holding towel rail to the wall were loose and rail came away readily. Well overpriced for its current state. The property would be better served by being closed until most renovations are completed.

The staff I spoke to in person were friendly
The free cans of soft drink were nice
Everything was dirty. Unacceptably dirty.
The plates had a residue on them that you could visibly see - had to wash them myself before eating off of them. I told the management and they knocked on the door at 10pm with replacements which isn't exactly helpful.
Floor had a layer of grime you could see just by wiping it with a tissue and a red stain that was either sauce or blood - very clearly hadn't been cleaned at all between guests.
Bed and pillows were suffocatingly dusty - spent half the night sneezing and unable to sleep
No hot water in the bath, despite being told multiple times that the issue was fixed or that I was just doing it wrong.
Realised that there's actually a gap in the blinds over the front window so that people outside can just peek right into where the bath is, so that's not fun
Reception not open the next morning, called the mobile number but the person who answered was very unhelpful
