My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cottage. From the 2 spacious bedrooms, spotless bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen and amazing screened porch, it had everything we could’ve hoped for. Also, it’s very convenient to downtown Highlands and all area attractions. A perfect getaway!

The house was cute, well-appointed, and stocked with all the necessities. It was a nice place to escape the heat of the summer in Charlotte. We were a bit nervous about the fact that there was no AC in the house, but there were fans in all the rooms and Anne did suggest keeping the windows open for air-flow which worked pretty well. We did bring a box fan to put in the bedroom window, so all-in-all we were comfortable.
Generally speaking, it was a great rental for the price. The full-size bed does take a bit of getting used to but it's certainly manageable.
Thank you, Anne, for an EASY check-in/check-out process. The trip almost didn't happen due to recent flight disruptions, but I'm really happy it did!!

This house was great - the perfect cozy autumn getaway for a long weekend. Wood fireplace was wonderful (they even provided firewood), screen porch was the perfect place to relax, read, or sip wine or coffee. The house has everything you need - even cream for your coffee. The host was really responsive and gave some great information about the area, recommended restaurants, and more. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is small but vert nicely appointed. Learning the lighting sequences took a bit of experimenting. The bathroooms were excellent. A great place to relax. The roads to the property are very narrow, but access to downtown is quick. The house was squeekky clean. Good information about the area was provided by the owner. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a great property. It is listed as occupancy of 4 (which it clearly is) but the pricing is based on double occupancy. We travel with another couple and they picked the place and I paid for it. We did not realize the hook until we arrived and started to enjoy the beautiful screen porch and discuss the weekend. Really wouldn't have cared about $100 but feel that the property should not be advertised for 4 people and then charge extra to have 4 people. Besides that, it is convenient and private. Yes, I did ask the host about this and was told that it was the correct policy. Don't let this review keep you away from the property, just be aware of the policy when comparing it to others.

This was just perfect for the five days we spent in Highlands. We've been once before and we plan on coming back again. Anne was great and very easy to communicate with. This is a small comfortable home in a great neighborhood right in Highlands. Good grocery store and wonderful restaurants are an easy distance and Mirror Lake is a short 10 minute walk. There were just two of us but it would work well for two couples as well, as it has two BRs, two baths and plenty of common area for four people. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen, though small was very well stocked and had everything we needed; we used it a lot. As is noted, the lovely and comfortable screened porch is what really distinguishes this home. We love Highlands and always look for covered outdoor space when we come. The porch has a high ceiling with ceiling fan in the very private wooded front yard. We spent hours there, and when it rains (as it does often in Highlands) it is particularly wonderful.

I can't say enough good things about this property! Needed a few days get away to hike, fish, and enjoy the fall weather. The house was spotlessly clean, beds were amazing, well stocked kitchen, screened in porch with comfortable furniture and hammock, cozy den with nice TV and fireplace, great proximity to the town of Highlands, and close to numerous trail heads and great food! The owner was extremely helpful and quick to respond . Book this property and you will not be sorry !

We loved our stay. Tastefully appointed and clean. Very small kitchen but it was fine as we only cooked a simple breakfast and enjoyed dinners out in Highlands. The screened in porch was our favorite feature. Spent most of our time there! House needed a little airing out when we first arrived because there’s no ac but we opened the doors to the porch and it was just fine . Great neighborhood and proximity to Highlands. Highly recommend for a small group! I would stay there again.

My husband and I had the best time at this adorable cottage!! Everything was super clean and extremely comfortable!! The location is so close to Main Street and we were able to run back and forth from hikes, dinners, and shopping in 5 min! We would strongly recommend this rental and look forward to returning soon!!
