The room was dated, poorly designed, and there were hidden fees attached.

Hotel charges way too much for quality of place. Towells are in need of replacing. Heat did not work correctly. Price exorbitant!!!

Nice enough hotel, but not nearly worth what I paid for it. I think that’s more of a function of NYC being so expensive.
The “city view” rooms aren’t worth it. The bathrooms are old and need to be updated.
Like I said - it was alright but overpriced

Given the nightly price for this room, the housekeeping service was poor for the first days. few towels, washcloths, no bathmat. Got better the last day. Shower was not working well.

Amazing stay at the Hyatt Grand Central Hotel. Clean and comfortable room was great size for an nyc hotel the restaurant at the hotel has a few good cocktails and appetizers. Valet was a bit expensive but that’s expected in the city. Safe and efficient vibe!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right next to grand central is so convenient. It has a wonderful amenity that we really enjoyed. We paid an additional fee to access the Commodore study and it was the best thing we could have done. For what is equivalent to a daily FL style resort fee, we could use a large lounge with 3 TVs offering unlimited water, soda, coffee, tea and a wide variety of snacks. It was recommended to me by the front desk when I called in to ask some additional information about the rooms. It was well worth it, not only for the water and snacks but just to have a place to hang out and wait while the others in our group finished getting ready. Also the espresso and cappuccino from the coffee machine were actually high quality. We go through a lot of water and it saved me having to find a place to buy a case of water and lug it to the hotel.

We originally had two double bed rooms, and took the hotel's offer for king+roll-away for an accessible room. On check-in, however, we were told both rooms were king+roll-away. We were also hit with $140 per room fees at check-out, which were not advertised at booking.

Nothing special. It served the purpose I needed. The property could use a renovation.

The concierge at the restaurant around 11pm was being rude to my pregnant wife.

Although I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids, we were initially given a room with one king bed and a small sofa that was not a sleeper sofa. When we raised this issue with the front desk, their solution was to have the kids sleep on the sofa, which was clearly not suitable for sleeping due to its size and design.
After further discussion, we were eventually moved to another room with a single sleeper sofa. While they did bring up a cot for our second child, I had to follow up twice before it arrived. Additionally, there wasn’t enough bedding provided, requiring yet another request.
To add to the disappointment, the bed in the new room was only a queen, not a king as originally booked.
Lastly, the "high-tech" light switches were overly complicated, even for my wife and me, who are typically comfortable with modern devices.

Don’t stay here. They charge lots of hidden fees - including an almost $300 charge called a “destination fee” - for a fee of $45 per day you get to buy $15 from the shop. A bottle of water from said shop is $7.50. The room itself was comfortable, but the lights and toilet flush were strange and took a while to fiddle with every time to make them work. They don’t offer any amenities like toothpaste in the room, you have to ask at reception. Lastly the cleaner took our towels and didn’t replace them, so that was another trip to reception to queue up.

I recently had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Grand Central in New York City. From the moment I arrived, Shannon was warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in and answering all my questions about nearby attractions. The room was spacious and spotless with a comfortable bed and a great view of the city. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore nearby sights, and their on-site market sold items that made it easy to not have to walk a few blocks to another store. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, and I’d highly recommend Hyatt Grand Central for anyone visiting NYC.

Room was comfortable. Lobby was nice however the escalator was not working and was down for 4 days. Still down when we left. Rooms were decorated nicely. Cleaning could be improved as all horizontal surfaces were quite dusty. Bathroom was clean enough but had some nasty stains by the toilet that were not cleaned. I used a few alcohol wipes to clean. Front desk staff was friendly. Housekeeping needs to be improved drastically as I spent two days without towels. The first day without towels I called housekeeping and they brought some. The next day same story as they took all the towels and didn’t replace them. Calling didn’t work the second time. I had to go to the front desk at 5 am to have them bring a set of towels.
