We had a wonderful stay at the New Otani Tokyo Garden Tower. The service was top-notch and the gardens were absolutely beautiful—very well-kept and serene. I recommend visiting the gardens at night and during the day to get two different experiences and types of photos. It is conveniently located near the train station and the Imperial Gardens. The rooms were slightly dated but clean and nicely appointed. The restaurants were very overpriced for my taste, but there were plenty of food options nearby.

We spent our first few days in Japan here acclimating. Upgraded to an amazing city view room. Lots of onsite dining options and beautiful gardens plus an actual outdoor swimming pool. Excellent location for exploring Tokyo.

Really good hotel although not super modern if that’s what you are looking for. It is located close by the station and there are plenty of amenities within a short walk. The hotel is in a quieter area of Tokyo which we appreciated at the end of each day. The gardens are lovely. Would recommend.

Amazing hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. I loved having breakfast overlooking the Japanese garden or on the 40th floor overlooking the city.

It was so nice and roomy room. We spend nice time at the hotel. Ammunities are so nice. One thing to be improved is that a fan inside of the bathroom which is always-on makes some noise while sleeping.

Classic five-star property with excellent service but the bathrooms could use an update. In particular, bathtubs should be replaced with walk-in showers to avoid slip-and-fall risks. Ventilation could be improved, too.

You had to pay for the inside swimming pool that could get only four persons at the same time. If it was already full, you juste have to wait for someone to get out. Unbelievable.

We always enjoy staying in this hotel, be it the garden or main tower. Rooms are of good sizes and comfy. The Japanese garden, several good restaurants, convenient location are reasons for our stay. This time is service that impressed us. I was feeling ill the last day of our stay. The front desk offered to accompany me to a hospital. At the end, they extended our check out time to let me rest longer. Very kind and caring. It’s definitely the hotel in Tokyo I can always trust.

I liked everything, one thing I did not like was the stores in the hotel opened later than I had hoped for

We absolutely loved the hotel. Was very grand, extremely clean, staff so polite and helpful. Our room was huge, extremely clean and very well maintained. There were lots of options for food in and around the hotel and access to the subway was just a few mins walk. The Japanese garden is a highlight. So beautiful and peaceful. Overall we loved the hotel and would definitely stay again

Terrible - stayed 5 nights and had nothing but problems
On arrival curtain rail in room was falling down - took 3 days to fix
In bathroom shower tap came away from the wall as I turned it on - causing me to slip
Beware no restaurant food after 9pm even though they advertise until 9.30pm - staff wants to go home. We went to the sky bar and had to negotiate for a drink - we could have one if we drank ‘quickly’ this at 8.45pm !!
On your way to swimming pool do not wear your bath gown or slippers provided by the hotel. U will be rudely told to change by a member of staff! The pool locker is so small that nothing more than a shorts, towel and t-shirt will fit. This is ok to wear however.
If you want to book an additional night in the hotel they advise you not to ask at reception for the best rate but to use Expedia?!
In the swimming pool be careful not to fall down the steps because they do not wash away the excess water even though there are lots of pool staff discussing between themselves.
If you want to swim be careful not to swim in one direction because other swimmers will be playing on inflatable circles and entering and jumping into the pool without warning. The lifeguards look on and say nothing even if you ask them to warn swimmers to have proper pool behavior.
If you have a complaint as I had - you will need to have 3 meetings with a ‘duty manager’ lasting over 30 minutes each time only to be told they can do nothing to help you nor care?!
All in all a bad experience

Loved the hotel wonderful staff and quality, dislike that the pool is extra unless a member! Things like the pool should be included in your stay and only meals/drinks as additional charges

I interacted with the concierge desk for the most part and Sharmaine was so very kind and helpful! She was the best! ❤️

Beautiful hotel with friendly and some English speaking staff. It is so big that we got lost multiple times in looking for the next great restaurant to eat at. The Japanese Garden is even better than the pictures on the website. It is close to two train stations, so getting around Tokyo from this location was very easy.

Great pool with long opening hours. Lovely accommodating staff. I was shocked when I saw a laundry bill for £170 (32,000 Yen) for what would be 1-2 loads in a washing machine. Prices before hand would have greatly influenced my decision but I was not informed until after the laundry was finished, how much I owed.
