You need a car as the hotel is up on the hill, about 10 blocks from the center of town.
You need to follow the route they give you to arrive by car as some streets are too steep, or actually stairs.
We were on the top floor, the views during sunset are great.
The breakfast is nice and they are very accommodating

We enjoyed a wonderful night at Villa Dreams when we were in Selçuk! The staff were superb in getting us checked in, recommending places to eat and how to navigate the area. Google maps can pick some very steep roads but we were told how to avoid these roads which made getting there a much better drive! Our room was adjacent to the pool which was great! The water was warm as the temperatures were high but still refreshing after a few hours at Ephesus! The breakfast was great and the coffee was perfect to North American tastes! We had opportunity to chat with the manager on the day of arrival and the owner the morning we left. Both are great people and well suited to the hospitality industry. We would highly recommend this hotel! We were put into this hotel by our son who had stayed a few months earlier. He didn’t steer us wrong at all!

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, greeting us upon arrival and assisting with parking.
The hotel has been nicely renovated. We stayed in the large family room with a private terrace which had a spectacular view of the Basilica of St John.
The pool area was quaint and the pool very clean. Drinks and bar snacks were available, with food made to order.
Breakfast was nicely presented, tasty, and traditional.
If you’re expecting to walk, you need to be fit, but don’t fret if you’re not, as they provide a shuttle to take you into town where there are lots of dining options. They also collect you and bring you back up to the hotel.
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel – it was peaceful, traditional and delightful. We will be back.

He called for transportation to the ferry

Th location high on a hill is why we booked. The views did not disappoint us! We loved the quiet non- tourist neighborhood. There are no other commercial establishments around. The pool was so refreshing and clean after a day in Selçuk and a steep walk back to hotel. The host and family and staff were all kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious but not over the top. People often come only to visit Efes and then move on after a day, nobody talks about how lovely the town of Selçuk is. I would encourage one to stay an extra day, walk around the town, visit the Saturday market, visit the cafes! It is wonderful! One of my favorite places in Turkey we have visited yet. You will be well cared for at Villa Dreams, and you will be happy to get respite from the voided at Efes. You can be relaxed and recharged if you take an extra day at this lovely Inn.

DO NOT STAY! Run away. This is the worst property we have ever stayed at in our entire lives. The owner has a bad attitude and thinks of his property as a luxury 5 star hotel. My issues with the hotel during our stay was way too many; but i will try to do my best to list the ones that instantly come to mind.
1) Initial check in experience. I knew from the get go that the owner had attitude issues. I asked him if he can message us or call us if the room is available before 2pm and he insisted that 2pm check in means 2 pm.
2) pick up from meeting point. The first attempt at pickup was a fail. After calling him 3 times and multiple messages and waiting 20 minutes with no response, we decided to walk in the afternoon. They did give us rides two other times.
3) Almost non functional wifi. Has many wifi networks, but none of them work. When i asked them, they kept saying it is working. But , both myself and my wife had way too many issues with the wifi, that we used roaming data.
4) Bed sheet was dirty. We could see black stains on the bed sheet; looks like they did not even bother changing the bed sheet.
5) Algae and mold in the hot tub. Despite cleaning the hot tub multiple times, it was extremely gross to use; so we did not use.
6) Difficult door to operate. Had to call the owner at 10pm.
7) Unsafe environment around the hotel. Did not feel safe walking around even during day time.
7) swimming pool repair making it non usable.
7) The owner made racist remarks.

Great service. Wonderful view on the city and castle. But above all is the quality of the service and the hospitality. Wonderful people who work at the Villa

This is a very nice property and our stay was exceptionally pleasant. We were greeted by the front office clerk Melih, who helped us with our luggage, parking, etc. He was very friendly and always available for any questions. In the evening, we enjoyed some wine on the charming deck, where we also enjoyed a delicious Turkish breakfast in the morning. The property was very nicely decorated, very clean, and all staff was very friendly and hospitable. It is located in a residential neighborhood on a hill, so don't be alarmed if you are driving there, it doesn't look like a neighborhood that would have a hotel, but you will love it as soon as you enter. Our room had a small balcony, which was overlooking the city and we could see the sea in the distance. It's a perfect place to stay if you are visiting Ephesus, which is a short drive away. We highly recommend it. Also, everyone spoke English, although I speak Turkish, but my traveling partner speaks English only, so it was nice that they could communicate with him directly.

Amazing staff and the best breakfast on our trip overlooking St. John basilica, the fort and the town of Selcuk. The pool was refreshing. The breakfast was outside on the patio. Would absolutely stay here again. The villa is cozy and welcoming. Melli, at the front desk gave us excellent recommendations for dinners over our 2 nights there. If you can make it up the steep hill to the villa it is worth absolutely all the of it. Also it’s a 15 min walk to town and we felt very safe. It was a short drive to Ephesus from the hotel which had east parking for our vehicle.

It's definitely worth staying at this slightly out-of-the-way location, especially for the stunning views! It is a gorgeous villa, and the host is so accommodating, he'll even help with transportation when possible. Clean and comfortable rooms, with an incredible breakfast in the mornings. I truly loved our stay there!

The hospitality of the staff was what made this stay the best. Mily (sorry not sure of the spelling) was incredibly welcoming and engaging. He arranged for us to have dinner delivered, and gave us fruit snacks and pool towels so we can relax by the pool. The guy the next day ( didnt get his name unfortunately) was also very helpful with giving us directions to Ephesus and answered any questions we had. The place is beautiful, clean and breakfast was amazing but the staff really made this place the best during our whole 2-week trip in Turkey!

Villa Dreams is known for its spectacular views of the city and surrounding areas. It’s a charming property with a wonderful terrace where guests can have breakfast or just relax and take in the views. Our room was clean and comfortable, but a bit noisy since it faces the street below. The staff was super friendly and helpful, full of info about nearby sites, dining choices, transportation options, etc. Mehlit even drove us into town so we could have dinner there, and then picked us up afterward. I’d strongly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at this property. We arrived later in the evening and the property host was still there to great us. Parking is at the hotel and a map is sent showing how to get there without driving up the steep hills.
The room was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows and nice fluffy towels.
We stayed in a suite with a jacuzzi bathtub on the terrace overlooking the city.
Location was quiet through the night and the thick walls blocked out local construction sounds in the morning.
Overall this is a great property and I look forward to returning anytime we are in the area

This is a place to come back to. Situated on top of a hill, in a quieter part of town we had comfortable rooms with great expansive views over the ancient plains and the castle. The staff is very helpful, articulate in English and make it feel like home. Locals of the area, they were knowledgeable and helped us get the most out of our three day trip. The rooms are clean, kept clean and the breakfast is a generous, traditional Turkish feast with local produce. Thank you Okyay, Melih and Ozlem for making this a memorable holiday for us, for your lovely energy and thoughtful hospitality.
