Convenient location, property was clean and nice. Motel style rooms near a busy road so there is a bit of noise but nothing excessive. The front desk staff was really great, he was very friendly, gave a little tour and was just very helpful. I travel a lot and he was one of the best check in staff I have ever had.

Missing our ferry after a family gathering, we had to stay in Courtenay booking at the last minute. What a nice surprise. The night manager was courteous and friendl. He walked us to our unit and had lots of pride in the building. Showers were. Bed was cosy and the whole was immaculate. Highly recommend

This hotel has been remodelled tastefully by new owners, who are incredibly friendly. The room felt very special with unique fixtures and features. Beds were comfy. Their attitude and kindness made for a great stay. Parking was easy. I recommend highly.

Check-in was relatively easy and quick. Staff was very personable and friendly. Parking was readily available right in front of the unit/room. The room amenities were great, including comfortable beds, a microwave, large enough mini fridge and what looked to be a 55" TV. The cleanliness of the room was also to be commended and yes the rainfall shower head with hand held was a very nice feature in the shower. Another mirror in the room itself, other than the one in the bathroom, would be welcome. Also there wasn't an ice bucket in the room, not sure if one isn't provided or if it was just an oversight in the room. Over the three nights there, unfortunately the room was never cleaned/made up due to what appeared to be the door sign falling off due to the wind or breeze. However the staff was very apologetic and immediately responded to my request for fresh/new towels, cups and the emptying of the room garbage bins. Hopefully the use of a better designed door sign will prevent it from easily being dislodged from the door handle in the future in order to prevent this problem.

I’ve never been to a motel room that is this compact (hardly able to get into the bathroom). When the basin faucet turned on, you got splashed and the TV quit in mid programme. In its favour, the shower was very good. In future stays, I’d opt to pay more and stay at a more familiar brand.

The new owners, Coast Hotels, have done an excellent job of upgrading this hotel and and continue to make major improvements to the property. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding and linens are very good quality. We enjoyed the very large screen TV as well. The restaurant that is part of the property is fun and has very good menu choices. the service is excellent and the food is very good. We would definitely stay on our next visit to Courtenay and look forward to seeing the swimming pool completed and open.

Nice stay. Room was small and do not like motel style as you have to keep blind shut at all times so people walking past can’t see in. It was clean and newly updated - workers along backside by us drinking and bbqing Saturday night to late which was a bit annoying but not bad. Place was very clean however there were some small ants just inside the door attracted to area on floor that obviously was not cleaned completely. Staff were extremely nice.

The front desk staff was so kind and helpful. They even had a basket of treats at the desk for guests. The room was super clean and new. It was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on with amazing pillows. The rain shower in the bathroom was incredible too! Excellent place to stay!

Comfortable bed, lots of towels and friendly staff The only concern was the step down coming out of the room to get to our car. The walkway was black and the step down was invisible in the early morning darkness . A definite tripping hazard however, the place was clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was small but functional.
