Lovely historic hotel that is very charming yet modern enough where it needs to be. Our room was quiet (except when some of our neighbors got a little boisterous) and the surrounding area is very pretty and quaint. Great area to walk or drive around too. The breakfast was excellent and so was the service

This is a historic inn and is over 125 years old. You should adjust your expectations accordingly. Everything is older and the hotel lacks many modern conveniences. My room was not ready at 4 pm and the lobby was full of people waiting for their room. The hotel is one of the limited options in town and is in a good location.

I was impressed with the dining room and how well it was run. Food was excellent. Our room was comfortable. We had a problem with hot water, but it was minor compared to the rest of our stay. Stockbridge is a lovely town.

Our room was dark no matter how many lights were on. Noisy because of street traffic. Our carpet was very used with many stains. Very hard to find a place to plug in phones and watch. It was quaint but these issues stood out more than quaintness.

A beautiful hotel and the bed is so soft to sleep. Me and my friends enjoy it very much and planning to go back there again to explore more and this hotel is near to The Devine Mercy and Lee outlet.

Staff that greeted us at front desk not real friendly
No availability at any of the in house dining options
For a $500.00 per night room it didn't meet my expectations

We went to spend the weekend with old friends. The staff at The Red Lion Inn were friendly, kind and extremely helpful. I am visually impaired. Kindness means everything to me. The Inn is located in a perfect spot in Stockbridge. Around the Inn within walking distance are many shoppes, coffee shoppes, restaurants and more. Within a short ride are museums, historic mansions and beauty. If you are looking for a perfect get away in beautiful Berkshires, The Red Lion In. Is the place to go. We had a few meals at the Inn. The food and staff were excellent. We spent an evening on their beautiful veranda/porch. Thank you Red Lion

Enjoyed the New England charm of this hotel. Close to local attractions, hiking/walking trails and a nice choice of food options.

This hotel is historic, but that’s really all it has going for it, along with a wonderful front porch that you can sit out on overlooking Main Street, but you don’t need to stay here to do that (and the price for one night was $500, which is INSANE for the quality of the room).
The service was fine, and the workers were very nice, but hotel itself is incredibly antiquated, and not in a good way.
Our room looked like something out of the shining, with the sink in the room, not in the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable and only came with two very saggy pillows that were so cheap. No smart tv, just basic cable. Can’t stress enough how poor the room is considering the price per night.

This lil town was a step back into time….just lovely! And the quaint hotel was like staying in a romance novel.
The staff was truly amazing from every angle. They exude the aura of the hotel brilliantly. The average marks are given due to the mattress. Yikes-time to change it out.

We love the quaint and historical environment. The room was spacious but did not supply hot water for tea

It took 15 minutes before the shower water was hot, parking is awful and I think they give Expedia the crappy rooms . I’ve been here many times before and never experienced this. It was my wife’s birthday and I aske for a small cake . Twice I asked and it never happened. Also we were put up on the third floor.

I booked two rooms on the 4th floor facing the main road. The rooms were spacious and nicely furnished while rather worn which added to the charm. There were running air conditioners in each room that were sufficiently quiet and kept the rooms cool. Neither rooms and bathrooms are handicapped accessible so keep that in mind when booking. One bathroom's shower curtain holder was broken and the other did not have hot water on our final day. Both were reported to the front desk. The Red Lion is a wonderful quirky place to stay and a step back in time. It is undergoing upgrading which should make one's stay even more comfortable.

Everything I look for in an Inn was there.
Nothing I didn’t like.
Whenever I’m crossing Massachusetts, I will always make the RED LION INN a stop.
