My family stayed here for 3 nights and we all enjoyed our stay. We were asked if we would like the beds making up before arrival which we thought was a bit strange as this is something you would expect to be done for you anyway. The lady we had to contact for access details was a little abrupt on the phone, so we weren't sure what to expect. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised, however the driveway is quite steep so would recommend parking on the road, plus it is meant to be a shared drive. Not sure why though as the house next door is "a work in progress." A bit of an eyesore to be quite honest, a new build that has been squeezed in the corner and failed to be finished off for some reason. The property is in a quiet little village with a few little local amenities such as a post office, butchers, cafe, small petrol station and 3 pubs. The house is fairly large, however there is not enough seating in the living room for the amount people it sleeps. We found the information booklet provided by owner had quite a few rules in it. Some of which we thought were a little abrupt, as they were written in CAPITAL LETTERS. It also states that you must strip all of your beds on the day of departure which we have never had to do anywhere else we have stayed. Check out time is 10am which is a little unfair considering you can not check in until 3pm on the day of arrival. An extra hour would make all the difference, especially if you have young children and beds to strip before leaving
