I wouldn’t recommend

I don’t think it’s correct to write on booking.com that the accommodation will be a room with two beds, and then there are only dormitories. I had to find a new accommodation for the time being in Surabaya because the room I paid for did not exist. I didn’t want to sleep in a dormitory, otherwise I would have chosen another structure. Plus, it was dirty and also a very unsafe place, as there were no room keys and no lockers, so everyone could just come in the room whenever they wanted. I felt unsafe for me and my belongings. Therefore I booked another room. If you are thinking of booking a double room, it is now it’s a scam, it doesn’t exist.

It is a good location and totally good value for money. Its ok for 1-2 nights. They cleaned the toilets regularly.

The sheets weren‘t clean, you don‘t get towels. The pictures look like they were taken a while ago. We tried to contact the hostel several times before our stay to ask them about tours and they didn‘t answer us.

Good location close to the train station.

The hostel is not clean. The bed sheets had stains. The toilets were dirty and there was no soap by the sinks. The breakfast is very simple (loaf and butter).

Diabolical, won’t be returning!

The best part of this horrific hostel was leaving but was forced to sit in the reception for 30 minutes as no grabs would accept our order to Malang. During this time went to the toilet with no lock on the door and came out to be greeted by 2 rats playing on the tables where people sit and eat their breakfast

To start when I jumped in my bed after my long flight I was not expected to be met by unidentified bodily fluids on my pillow. Accompanied by the blood and ejaculation stains on my sheets. Then went for a shower to feel clean after having to sleep on this mess. To have no lever to turn it on, so could only use one shower which was occupied and had to queue. Would’ve been better to shower with the bum gun and also the water probably would’ve been cleaner. To say I checked out faster than Usain Bolt in the morning is an understatement.

great spot if you have a train

the rooms were nice. the beds had privacy curtains. it was very close to the train station but a tiny bit tricky to find (don’t go upstairs to the upper road outside the train station). it was super close to the train station and the front desk is 24 hours so you can go if your train arrives at 4am

there was no hand soap in any bathroom. they didn’t have separate women’s restrooms and showers - there was a women’s room downstairs but it was out of order.

The breakfast was good, but maybe next time prepare clean utensils (a spoon for tea and another spoon for the jam)

The shower is broken, and the room and bathroom are dirty. Most of the facilities are broken but they seem not to care about it. My bed is smelly and one of my pillows has no pillowcase in it. The location is hard to find.

Disappointing

Good location close to the station, if you know to exit the station on the East side (i.e. not the main entrance). Cleanliness and A/C were ok.

The dorm was huge, and though I knew there were no lockers, I would at least have expected enough room to set down my luggage in front of the bed, which was not the case. More of a workers dorm than a backpackers haunt. Fine for that but not what I was looking for.

I like breakfast, it simple and the matcha jam was super good, the bathroom is clean but there are one that has a little problem on the door. The bed is comfy.

very dirty, toilets in particular, lack of storage for the bagpack (had to sleep with it on my bed), breakfast consisted of tea and some bread.

The price is pretty cheap. As we are not staying for the whole night, just few hours rest before heading to Bromo so I think it's fine

If you are looking for a clean place maybe this is not for you. You can see stains on the bedsheets and also hairs everywhere

Shared room and value for anyone needs to transfer quickly

The location is next to the station and a shopping mall. The room is quiet but depends on the guests also.

No locker or storage cabinet. The bathroom and toilet facilities are not well maintained. The bedsheet is broken also. The host only informed us before the check-in time but on the website, it's sold as a room.

The location, it was just 5 mins away from the train station. The price is unbeatable.

The cleanliness can be improved, the mattress and pillow were old and smelly, hair and stain was found on the bed sheets. The hygiene in the shared bathroom got a lots of room to improved too, no toilet paper inside the bathroom..
