About this house rental

Close to town, beach and the ferry boats, this custom built 5 bedroom, 4.1 bath home with central air conditioning is on a private level landscaped lot. This spacious and bright home is on a private quiet road and is just a ten minute walk to town, the beach and a short stroll to the Westmoor Club.
Enter into a dramatic two story entrance with vaulted wood beamed ceiling. The living room has a white-washed two story brick fireplace. An open floor plan leads to the dining room, large eat-in kitchen and adjacent family room. The public rooms open to the backyard and to the partially covered and open deck for both grilling/eating and enjoying the weather on several teak lounge chairs.
The gourmet kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a large bar with five stools and a separate table for six. The adjacent dining room area has additional sitting for eight. The sunny family room has an entertainment center - HDTV, streaming and cable, and 5G wireless internet.
The floors throughout the home are wide pine and stone. There is a first floor bedroom suite with queen bed and full bath. An additional covered front porch in the front of the house has furniture for relaxing and enjoying that morning cup of coffee.
The second floor has a sitting/family room area, with TV, books to read and a French door that opens to a balcony with chairs to enjoy the scenic views.
The master suite on this floor has a white-washed wooden vaulted ceiling. This spacious room has a king bed, full bath and large TV, desk, and day bed. There are two additional bedrooms with twin beds and another full bathroom on this floor.
The finished lower level has a bedroom with queen bed and full bath, adjacent game room with slap air hockey and board games. This area is great for children or for an au pair. There is a shed with 5 adult bikes, child's bike, fishing rods, beach chairs, beach mats, a beach caddy and three coolers. A generous supply of beach towels are stored in the kitchen cabinet.
We built this house in this location because it has a private setting but so close to the town and beach. You could walk, bike or take the public shuttle bus to town or bike. Uber is available all over the island as well. Public transportation is available to go to the ocean beaches i.e. Surfside, Cisco et al. Bartlett Farms, Cisco Breweries, Sconset and Madaket are also a short car ride away. This is the perfect family house for extended families since each can stay on different floors. Comfy and quiet corners are perfect for relaxing and reading!

The home was wonderful in every way! Clean and roomy. It felt like a home, not a rental. Location was great as well! Owner was helpful with restaurant ideas and activities. He even clued us into an annual performance of the Boston Pops during our stay. Highly recommend!

This spacious house was the perfect fit for us (two families with teenagers and a guest). It comfortably sleeps 9 or 10 guests. It is a very short bike ride to town and the beautiful Steps Beach. The bikes provided, however, are not really good to use. The owner disclosed this before we arrived, but we gave them a try anyway before going to the bike rental shop. The extensive bike paths all over the island (starting just a few minutes of pedaling from the house) were definitely a highlight, especially the 20 mile loop out to Sankaty Head Lighthouse and back. The kitchen is well appointed and we appreciated being able to cook fresh fish from 167 Raw on the immaculately clean outdoor grill. Toasted sourdough bread and pastries from Bread & Born were especially delicious with coffee on the house's private covered front porch in the mornings. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay for an active and memorable week on Nantucket.

Our stay was just as we hoped. The house was perfectly set up for large groups - plenty of beds for sleeping, plenty of bathrooms, and several different communal spaces. The location is not too far from town - maybe a 15 minute walk - and the island shuttle stops not far from the house. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, but for our group that was fine. We would happily stay here again.

The pictures of the home do not do it justice! Gorgeous, spacious and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of room for all 6 adults and 3 children under 5. Centrally located home base for all the fun Nantucket has to offer. Communication was great with Doug. House was well stocked with all the essentials. Would definitely stay again everything was perfect for an effortless vacation!

The condo was very nice, well appointed, clean, easy check in/check out process, great communication from owner, fabulous location. We have been going to Stratton for many years and this was the first time we stayed at Landmark. Most convenient place we have stayed at to date. The village can get noisy with music and people gathering outside in the evening, but this unit faces away from the village and we didn’t hear any of it.

Our stay was seamless. The view is amazing. The proximity to all Stratton activities is close as you can possibly get. The sleeping accommodations are super cozy. If I had known how well appointed the kitchen was, I would have brought groceries to cook our meals.

We had a great time at Stratton in the Landmark! Some of the features we liked about the resort condo building was the pool table, foosball and TV room on the 1st floor for the kids to hang out. Loved the Village shops, restaurants (pricey, but convenient), but especially the live music concerts. we would stay here again and recommend to others. Very quiet mid-week.

This condo was perfect for our group -- my husband and me, our three young children (ages 7, 4, and 3 months), and our nanny. The ski school, ski lifts, main lodge, ski shop, and town (restaurants, coffee shop, market, etc) are truly just steps away from the building. We were central to everything which made the trip as easy as it could have possibly been with our crew. Parking is convenient and easy too. Wonderful, kind, responsive host who is easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Overall we had a wonderful trip! Upon arrival the main floor gave a good first impression. However upstairs feels a bit worn and tired. The walls (especially upstairs) are marked up and carpets are stained. Closets had extra towels and linens practically thrown in and jumbled all together. Made me question the upkeep on the housekeeping side of things. We didn’t have any extra toilet paper so had to go out and purchase last minute. There were only half rolls at check in and nothing else. There wasn’t any hand soap in the kitchen either. I had to go find an extra bottle upstairs bathroom, not a big deal but these details were overlooked. Despite those small things we had a great time skiing. We love Stratton’s terrain and the quaint village. Just wish housekeeping took more pride in their work. Also, a quick touch up paint job would go a longgg way.

Wonderful location center of town just above our favorite restaurant, Verde. Faces the parking lot, but if you open the front door you can see right to the slopes. While we didnt need all the space, our daughter loved running around. There also was a baby crib so we didn't have to bring one. Landlord was responsive.

Fantastic stay. House is much larger than expected, with multiple living/common spaces, which worked well for 2x infants. Plenty of parking. Easy and enjoyable 15 minute walk to town. Can also walk to beaches. Doug is a great host who was able to help us when our travel arrangements changed unexpectedly. We will absolutely stay here again.
