Historic house, comfortable, cozy,air-conditioned, definitely not ordinary. A very particular house, beautiful and adorable. Certainly it is unique and recognizable among all the house of the Amalfi Coast.
Independent apartment,with direct and private access to the sea,with a private swimming pool with internal whirlpool , enjoys a panoramic view of 180° for total area.
Free parking in the building for n.1 parking space for small/medium capacity.
Lift that leads directly into the apartment, the latter peculiarity rare and unique in the Amalfi Coast .It also leads to the apartment along the stairs.
Lift is equipped with automatic return system in case of breakdown or unintentional electric current. Internal call device to directly contact an operator available and always on h24
The living room is air-conditioned,bright accessed directly with two openings on the large terrace with swimming pool and consists of a dining area with designer table in a single ceramic specimen (6 seats) and an area furnished with n.2 sofas.
The kitchen, although not very spacious, is fully equipped ( Induction Kitchen, Oven, Microwave Oven,Dishwasher,Coffee Maker,american coffee Maker,Refrigerator with Separate Freezer compartment, If needed there is also an additional fridge on the terrace, dive mixer, toaster, citrus juice, kettle, etc,) , extremely comfortable and enjoys a splendid view of the sea. It has a practical side access that allows the easy transport of dishes on the large mosaic table (10 seats) on the terrace to the pleasant shade of a large gazebo (can be used even in case of rain) .N.2 bathrooms with bath (sink, toilet, bidet, shower), furnished with typical and precious artisan Vietri tiles.
Sleeping loft, which is accessed via a small staircase made up of only 10 steps,it consists of two independent bedrooms (both with sea view and individual air-conditioning), one with a double bed and the other with a small smaller bed ( 190 cm x 140 cm )
In the apartment there is a wi-fi line just for the apartment and another separate line for the terrace.
There is the possibility of setting up one or two additional beds. For this need, please formulate any request in advance. No surcharge will be applied.
Laundry,with wash basin for hand towels and washing machine
Beautiful terrace for exclusive use of 150 square meters, with direct views of the sea at 180°, equipped with sun beds, chairs, armchairs and small sofa ,to enjoy a beautiful sunny day and relax by relaxing on the comfortable sun loungers reading a good book or connecting to the network with another wi-fi line only for the terrace, outdoor shower with hot water ,gas barbecue with lava stone,very comfortable to cook without dirty hands .
Pool (1.30 meters deep)is for exclusive use, with internal seat.
The pool is open usually from 1 Maggio to 30 September ,also by virtue of weather conditions and has no device to heat the water.
For Children is always needed the supervision of a responsible adult, by virtue of the presence of stairs and pool (1,30 meters deep).
Private access to the sea with concrete platform shared with the other guests ( maximum 5/6 persons) allowed usually from 1 Maggio to 30 September ,also by virtue of weather conditions.
Possibility of renting motor boats.
The center of Minori is just 500 meters away,a few minutes walk.
The town of Minori is also strategically positioned geographically, providing a convenient and ideal base to explore, discover and love all the towns that make up the wonderful Coast Amalfitana. Minori (5 minutes walk), Maiori (1, 2 Km), Ravello (10 minutes drive), Atrani (2,1 km), Amalfi (2.8 Km), Positano (18.5 Km) or Sorrento (which, however, is a good hour drive) .Each the coastal town has its typical, excellent pizzerias, the dishes in restaurants specializing in seafood and famous pastry shops that with their delicacies will delight your palate.
Also there is the possibility to book in zone a private shuttle service with a driver (not included) or taxi service (not included), max 6 persons, also from / to airports or railway stations of Naples and Salerno, and for trips to the ruins of Pompeii, Paestum Excavations, Reggia Caserta, Naples and its outstanding museums, Capri, Sorrento.
Tourist itineraries dream that you can not miss. Hardly anywhere else in the world can you find such a concentration of art treasures and architectural and artistic beauties in one geographical area.
The bus stop is located just step from the house (70 meters).
The Naples Capodichino airport is about 1 hour and 10 minutes by car path.
The airport of Salerno-Costa d'Amalfi is about 40 minutes by car path.
The Hospital of the Amalfi Coast in Ravello is just 1 Km,
Salerno train station is 18 Km.
The Naples train station is about 1h drive path.

It is forbidden to organize noisy parties and events.
-The electricity/air conditioning included in the price up to 100 kWh of consumption, the consumptions over 100 kwh will be counted for an amount equal to € 1,00 for each kWh, to be paid in cash on departure.
- All the electricity used in the house is 100% exclusively energy from renewable sources. We are very sensitive to energy waste. It is a small contribution to the best protection of our world.
- In compliance with the Kyoto and Doha treaties, the Italian legislation provides that both in winter and in summer the temperatures inside the holiday homes can never exceed a certain temperature. This temperature was set at 20 degrees Celsius (with a maximum tolerance of 1 degree Celsius), equivalent to 68 degrees Fahrenheit, in heating mode and 27 degrees Celsius (with a maximum tolerance of 1 degree Celsius), equivalent to 80.6 degrees Fahrenheit, in cooling mode. These temperatures are imposed by the legislation for a healthy and optimal use of electricity, against energy waste and for the protection of the environment and public health.
- Moreover, by virtue of the recent war between Russia and Ukraine,Italy, like many other European nations, suddenly found itself without energy supplies previously coming from Russia and the Italian government, at the moment, has found only as a temporary solution that of double the costs of energy materials, so as to make consumption by the population prohibitive, thus reducing consumption.
- So remember that leaving the windows open with the air conditioners on, or leaving the lights on and the air conditioners on without anyone at home, or sleeping with the air conditioners on all night and covering yourself from the cold with duvets in Italy is considered an absurd waste of energy, no longer sustainable. For considerable energy savings, it is always preferable to use the dehumidifier mode in case of humid heat.
However, personally,I deeply respect the habits of each guest of the structure, but I believe it is important that all my guests have the precise awareness of the costs of their choices in order to maintain their habits.
-There is a tourist tax
The tax will not be paid in the following periods:
- January 1 to March 31
- November 1 - December 31
From 1 April to 31 October, the cost of the residence tax will be equal to Euro 3 per person per day (new amendment approved by the Municipality of Ravello on 20.03.2019), for a maximum of 7 days, subject to further legislative intervention variation of local taxes. After 7 days of stay, the following days of stay will not be taxed.
The age of 16 are not subject to payment of the tax
- The cost for the final cleaning of the whole house , terrace , swimming pool ( very scrupulous even before the advent of Covid 19 and made with specific products as per directives of the National Health System ), and washing and sterilization of the sheets , towels and of the tablecloths from bathroom , for each week or at least , for every change of guests , amounts to € 120. This sum is compulsory to pay at the check-out cash if it has not already been paid at the time of booking.
-The house must always be left in the order in which it was found and if possible cleaned;

From before we arrived and throughout our stay Francisco was communicative, supportive, responsive and engaging. This is an amazing property with spectacular views. Would very easily be comfortable for 8 people- 3 couples and 2 teenagers or children in the bunk beds! We had 2- couples and 2 elders. Highly recommend the host and the home! Thank you Francisco👍

We have the best time visiting the Amalfi coast and staying at Francescopaolo’s home. He was so helpful and welcoming to us and even took us to the grocery store on our first day. The views from his home are breathtaking- pictures don’t do it justice. We would recommend this home to anyone.

We loved our stay at the Small Castle of the Moors! It was a beautiful location right on the Amalfi Coast and steps away from the small town of Minori (7min walk). The host, Francescopaolo, was very attentive and helped us with any questions we had. He also helped us arrange transportation from the Naples airport to the residence which was very helpful. One item to note, there is no pool access at this residence but there is water access which is even better! I would happily stay here again.

A magical stay in the small castle of the moors
Let me start by saying this was the most amazing vacation with my husband, seventeen year old daughter and 12 year old twins. The property is spectacular and the host is beyond amazing. You will be more than comfortable in this property. It has three bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms. It also has an outdoor shower which is what we used a majority of the time. The living room and dining room is comfortable and my kids enjoyed the Netflix. The kitchen is not big but don't let that fool you, you will have everything you need including a dishwasher. Every room in the house has a view of the sea. The terrace is the true show stopper here. It is very large and has a pool, which kept my kids so happy. We ate at the beautiful table room for all. You can access the town of Minori quickly on foot ( about 5 minutes) using the staircase into town. We took the ferry to Amalfi and Positano. It was very easy. We also went to the beach one day 2 chairs 25 euros. What ate in town three nights once a Giardinello (pricey but good) and Di Riso (not the pastry shop keep walking) that was amazing we went twice. The town of Minori is full of the nicest people. You will love them.
Now for our host Francesco Paolo. He was the kindest ,nicest human being. He bent over backwards for us. He picked us up from Sorrento and dropped us off at the airport. He also brought us to Pompeii. There aren't enough words to describe his kindness and how lovely he was to my family. He is very proud of his home and we were honored to be able to stay there. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Grazie!!!!

Outstanding outdoor patio and view
Great location and the town of Minori is not the biggest but one of our favorite places on the coast. Friendly people and the ferry is right in town to go wherever you would like. You are staying in a old and authentic hillside home. It is a great location and has amazing views. The elevator was a big plus. The kitchen and bathrooms are small and might be tight for a large person.

Beautiful Stay in a beautiful area
First, I must give a big thank you to Francescopaolo! He made our arrival painless and welcomed us at the home. He then showed us around and helped get us settled in. Then he took us to the town to get groceries. I have to tell you when you are exhausted and tired from the long trip, this was extremely helpful. Now to the home, it was beautiful, exactly the way the pictures show and better. I don't know how to describe the view except "breath taking". We had all the amenities and comforts that is needed. Everything worked and the other couple and my wife and I, could not have been happier. Remember this is the older more authentic Italian life style type of home, so if you want a modern cookie cutter type of home this is not for you. However, if you want a rich in tradition and an immersed Italian lifestyle experience, then this is definitely the place! From here you can take the water taxi to Amalfi, Positano, Sorento, Salerno, and Capri and see some of the most incredible views. I highly recommend this wonderful home, not only for the beautiful views, but the town of Minori and the people that live there. Everyone was so warm and friendly, it truly felt like home. Thank you Francescopaolo for making our stay wonderful and taking us to the train station for our departure. We will miss the town, the people, the home and the wonderful country of Italy.

The patio is nice and overlooks the Sea. The building is old and inadequately heated.
I’m sorry to say we were disappointed. 1. We had to wear our coats indoors. The owner monitored our use of electricity. On the second day he sent me a lengthy text explaining how I could monitor the complex meters myself on a daily basis. 2. We were happy to sort our trash and recycle. There were five categories with a scheduled pick up of different materials nearly every day. Trash and recycling needed to be put out between 22:00 and 24:00, but we had some trash left in the apartment on the day we left due to the schedule and our departure day. We left the apartment neat and clean. All dishes washed, refrigerator cleaned, etc. Wish we had taken remaining trash the half mile into town and deposited It in the city park waste receptacles, so owner wouldn’t have complained about the remaining trash we had sorted and bagged. 3. I think communication was a big problem. I had studied Italian before the trip, but my vocabulary was limited. Owner admitted he had English skills of a two year old. We had misunderstandings. 4. The HomeAway website indicated property had a pool and a hot tub. It had no hot tub. The unheated pool was the size and shape of a large hot tub. Very pretty. Owner said a different apartment contained a jetted bathtub, but it was out of order. We didn’t care to sit in an indoor bath tub anyway since we were expecting a hot tub on the patio. I notified HomeAway that their website was incorrect, and the property had no hot tub. I thought they should correct their advertisement because it was misleading. They contacted the owner, and I’m not sure what was said. I immediately received an irate text from the owner calling me a “bad person” who tried to ruin “him and his family”. He threatened to call the police. I wish the owner no ill will, but I cannot in good faith recommend this property. I have always had wonderful stays and a great rapport at every other VRBO/HomeAway in which I’ve stayed.

The castle is indeed that!
The castle and its gracious owners met our every desire for a special family birthday celebration: comfortable furnishings and beds, spacious and elegant deck overlooking the sea, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful, responsive hosts. They provided a warm, informative welcome, even driving us to town to buy groceries and returning with umbrellas when we got caught in the rain! All aspects of our stay were perfect- we highly recommend the Little Castle and its kind hosts!

Review of the small castle of the Moors
We planned our Italy vacation for many months. We were fortunate when we picked Francispaul’s Little Castle of the Moors in Minori, Italy. Francispaul is an excellent host who goes above and beyond expectations. He was wonderful in assisting us to plan for our trip and provided guidance on everything from the shops and restaurants in the village to hiring a car and driver for our excursion to Pompeii. His home is gorgeous with incredible views overlooking the sea. We were there in mid-late June 2018 and the bougainvillea was in spectacular full bloom. There is access to the sea down some stairs, and Minori is a short walk away. Be advised the trip back is uphill but not overly stressful. Minori has the additional attraction of not being overrun by tourists even in the great weather. The restaurants in the village were very good and we walked to them. We also ate in two nights. For the first night, we barbequed a nice steak bought at the butcher shop and for the second night we purchased roasted chicken and potatoes at the same shop.
The amenities were great—we were quite content to hang around in the sun pool/side and just relax. We were a total of four adults, but the house can easily accommodate an additional couple or another couple with 2 children.
All told, it was a great house in a wonderful location that really allowed us all to recharge. Many thanks to Francispaul. Go! You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic, superlative, there are just no words.....
This place is just fantastic and if you know the Amalfi Coast you will know what this property has is hard to find and invaluable. You can park, it has it’s own gate so driving or hiring a car is straightforward and not the parking lottery which accompanies most stays in this region. The property has a lift (U.S. elevator) - almost unheard of here, removing the usual hundreds of steps required every time you venture out. There is a beautiful plunge/ hydro pool, almost impossible to find at this price, gorgeously designed. It has a huge terrace for dining and relaxing with stunning views of the coast, close enough to hear the waves on the rocks below. Minori is an easy walk where you can buy everything you may need and the town is serviced by a water taxi which opens up the entire Amalfi Coast- Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Sorrento - without any hassle associated with using the buses or parking. The interior is beautiful and large for this region. Amalfi properties tend to be hewn from the rockface and therefore are generally not large by the standards of other areas, but this property is larger than most. The building is stunning, an old minature castle, a stand out property on the cliff edge. We stayed as two couples, 4 people, but it could accommodate 6 easily without compromising space. But what stood out more than any of the excellent reasons to stay here listed above was the owner and host of Little Castle of the Moors, Francescopaulo. A kinder, more helpful or more attentive host could not be imagined, an amazing guy who it was a genuine pleasure to get to know in the brief time we spent with him. Francescopaulo can transform your stay from a villa coastal holiday into a full appreciation of the region. He offered to take us shopping to ensure we knew where to go and that we had enough supplies for the week- essential if your are self catering on the wonderful veranda and if you don’t know the shops in the area. He offered to take us to the best sights and let us know what festivals and local attractions were on offer while we were there. He ensured everything in the villa was as needed and was available whenever we needed. One of life’s true gentlemen and good souls, it seems much of his love, kindness and attention to detail has been transfigured into his wonderful villa and you can feel it all around you as you soak up it’s amazing vistas. Recommended and five star doesn’t come close- if you are looking in this region you simply have to go.
