Summary:
A stylish 6-bedroom family home with open-plan living space. It features 2 king-size bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms, 2 children’s bunk rooms, sleeping 12 in total with 2 full bathrooms and a separate shower room. It is newly refurbished with a vibrant interior and quality furniture. Courtyard garden with Astroturf. Central Frome location. Please note: some potential for road noise, usually quieter at night. This listing is split across 2 properties next door to each other.
The Space:
This 6-bedroom homestay comprises The Old Post Office and The Postmasters House. Built in 1900 as the Post Office with Postmasters dwelling at the rear and now lovingly renovated into two separate, well-equipped and fantastically stylish holiday lets.
The Old Post Office is a two bedroom family-orientated space set on two floors, with open plan living/dining and, a kitchen with washing facilities. Family bathroom, bunk room (adult sized) with books and games, and a spacious king master bedroom.
The Post Masters House has a larger open plan living space with four bedrooms and dining space for 10, double doors leading to a small sunny courtyard garden, with child-friendly Astroturf and BBQ. There is a ground-floor king bedroom and shower room plus two further double bedrooms, a bunk room and a family bathroom on the first floor.
This is a great location as close to the Station Approach a vibey Frome entertainment hot spot with a multitude of food options, beer, wine and live music. Plus, minutes away you can pick up the path through Rodden Meadow to the heart of trendy Frome and all of its independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
The bedrooms have comfortable beds, hotel-quality linens and large bath sheets for all guests. We provide Faith in Nature toiletries for guests to use during their stay.
Guest Access:
You will have unincumbered access to both properties. Parking is free along Victoria Rd, usually space right outside. There is a small garden to the front of The Old Post Office and a courtyard garden to the rear of The Post Masters House.

It is packed with historic buildings, independent shops, and creative individuals, making it an inspiring and unique destination. Frome's historic center is filled with architectural interest and a thriving contemporary arts scene.
As the original Somerset Market Town, Frome hosts regular markets on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, along with 'The Frome Independent Market' on the first Sunday of each month from March to December. This market attracts thousands of visitors and showcases local food, artists, designers, produce, and entertainment.
Frome also features specialty shops, arts venues, galleries, and a growing reputation as a hub for creative industries. The town hosts various events throughout the year, including the Frome Festival, the Frome Agricultural Cheese Show, the Carnival, and the Frome Christmas Extravaganza.

Parking
The best option for parking is on Victoria Road which is only a few strides from the property. Guests may wish to unload on the wide pavement outside of the property prior to finding a convenient parking space.
Train
The nearby Frome train station offers frequent services to Bath and Bristol, providing convenient transportation options from London and other areas.
Taxi
It's best to pre book a taxi to and from the train station. Call Shawn at Smile Taxis to arrange.
Bus
Excellent bus links connect to neighboring towns such as Glastonbury and Wells. Frequent busses to Bath and Trowbridge. The bus stops are along Portway, the two main bus stops are located in town outside Boots.
Other Things to Note:
Frome is a buzzing and vibrant Town and being a central location please do be aware that there is potential for road noise during the daytime, it is generally much quieter at night. To combat all rooms, have triple-interlined curtains and double-glazing—earplugs provided for the lighter sleepers. As you can see from reviews this is usually not a concern for our guests but we do respectfully request that you note this before booking.
We do have quiet hours between 7am and 10pm in respect of our neighbours.
Check in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am. Early/late check-in/outs are available on request for a small fee.
We can provide a travel cot and high-chair on request.
