Lying in a picturesque spot close to Devon’s border with Dorset, this stylishly decorated and beautifully furnished cottage offers fabulous holiday accommodation for families and groups of friends seeking a relaxing rural break within easy reach of the coast. The nearby town of Axminster (2 miles) has a choice of great shops, pubs and restaurants, and is home to the Axe Valley Wildlife Park (3 miles). The property lies along the edge of both the Dorset National Landscape and the East Devon National Landscape, with the Blackdown Hills just a couple of miles to the north, making this delightful getaway a fabulous base for long rural walks. For a day by the sea, travel south to the popular resorts and glorious beaches at Charmouth and Lyme Regis (both within 5 miles).
Entering this light and colourful property, the welcoming hallway leads you through into the cosy and inviting lounge. With ample seating, a Smart TV and a friendly wood burner set in a brick surround, this is an ideal space for everyone to relax in after a fabulous day out. Exploring this beautifully decorated hideaway further, there’s a stylishly arranged dining room with a handsome main table, plenty of seating and a central chandelier. There’s also a thoughtfully organised and fully equipped kitchen with a useful island and additional seating. Finally, the ground floor features a WC as well as a handy utility room which makes a useful space for canine guests to unwind in. The central staircase is surrounded by internal windows looking into the dining room and kitchen; this staircase leads up to the first floor. Here, you will find a refreshing family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC – this bathroom serves the first two bedrooms: a spacious king-size and a tastefully decorated twin. The first floor has two further bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room: a cheerful king-size room and a beautifully furnished suite with a super-king-size bed and a Smart TV.
Going outside, the enclosed garden has mature trees, a lovely lawn, and patio areas with ample outdoor seating, providing a relaxing space for you all to sit out and enjoy a BBQ in the sunshine. Parking is available for up to three cars.
