Everything about this family run hotel is perfect. I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Nothing

The hotel is very cosy, rooms look nice, breakfast was reach
Wifi did not work at all, seemingly for a long time. Staff was not helpful and was not able to offer any compensation for inconvenience. Spa is small, old and noisy (many families with kids); for the finish sauna I am not sure the temperature was properly regulated. Gym is almost non-existent and equipment is very old.

The staff was super friendly and the hotel was really cozy. There was a supermarket opposite the hotel.
The breakfast was not worth the price

Hotel and facilities were all excellent
Max and his staff were all very professional and very polite. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms were of a decent size and breakfasts were very good - not too busy.
Bar was excellent and Max (the owner) was very polite and friendly
Overall hotel was first class. Only slight issue was that weren’t advised of hotel shuttle to ski lifts and to advise reception if wanted sauna / steam room turned on

A lovely family run hotel with great facilities, location, food and staff. Really convenient for enjoying a first class skiing holiday in Chatel and the Portes du Soleil region.

Plus the location is very convenient for everything you need.

The staff, were the key. Max was great and I enjoyed being in the hotel. It was extremely hot in Chatel while I was there so not what the hotel is used to. The windows in the room opened enough to create good airflow. Should I need accommodation in Chatel in the ski season this would be my first choice.
It was hot and no air con but i didn’t find that very surprising

Breakfast excellent
The bar and wine list too expensive needs a good reasonable local house white , red wine

Very nice hotel and stay. A true 4* service with private navette to go skiing. A tremendous breakfast. You feel like home and better thanks to personals. Try the massage - a dream.
Nothing really.

Breakfast good.
Pool and spa excellent.
Kids had a bigger room than the adults. But there was no door on their bathroom which wasn’t easy for them as they are teenagers.
Adults room was not premium size as advertised.

The spa, the breakfast, the friendliness towards us and their obvious love of animals. The beds were super comfy, the rooms ultra quiet. There was even a bed and bowl for our dog. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Chatel.
Just might have been nice to charge our electric car for free, but wasn't really a problem.

Family owned and ran, which certainly makes a difference! Staying at Macchi, is like being at home! Wonderful.
I only wish the tea/coffee facilities in rooms could be explained clearly.
