Lovely, small traditional hotel very near centre of beautiful Chatel. Fabulous breakfast and views from balcony down the valley.
Restaurant was not open for dinner.

The staff does not really speak English unfortunately so that was an issue when asking for help with retrieving our ski passes, locating the closest ski lift, etc. Also, we waited one hour for our dinner one evening. FYI There are no options at all for vegans and vegetarians (only cheese and fries basically). Also, the first night my husband could not eat his food, as the steak was brought to the table rear, even though he asked for medium rear. The restaurants in the village get packed super quickly so make sure to book a table in advance for dinner.

Perfect location for staying in Chatel, shops and city center are near. Quiet and retro-style rooms with beuatifule mountain landscape decoration. Great for a couple for a weekend getaway, we loved it. Big plus for the most beautiful elevator I have ever seen :)

Very French property. Room was a good size and beds were comfortable. Nice balcony view to sit outside with a beer and watch the sun set. Great breakfast for £10, plenty of choice but you have to ask for an egg if you want it hot!
Shower curtain! Shower was small and the curtain felt very unpleasant!

Incredibly beautiful location, clean, homely and good facilities for storing skis. Food was great though quite expensive.
The owner was incredibly rude to us, rolling her eyes and sighing. We agreed to pay for all meals on the last day for convenience but she questioned us relentlessly regarding payment.

Very good value. Room basic but clean and exactly what we needed for a long weekend skiing. Breakfast was great value at 10 euros pp. Had one evening meal which was also good.
Had a bath with shower attachment but no shower curtain. Bathroom got very wet after a shower!

We couldn’t have asked for more…the location is close to town, the room is super clean and warm and breakfast was great. We loved the view from our little balcony. Would highly recommend for a fuss free visit to Chatel!

Breakfast was really good, fresh with choices.
Rooms would have benefited from shower curtain/glass and hairdryer,

The manager/ owner of the place was not very friendly. Initially at the welcome she was very comforting and friendly. It was until we went into the restaurant on our second night, when they were busy. We went to go sit down at our table, and after about 20 minutes of not receiving any services, we asked if we can at least just get a menu, after which she responded that she is "very busy serving other customers". So of course we took this that we were not really important enough to be served. we eventually got served and the food was great, but unfortunately this kind of treatment did ruin a lot about the hotels experience. I would therefore not recommend it, unless you are French. After observing the manager/ owner, it seemed she gave the French customers much more friendly and frequent service. Furthermore, on check out, I got attitude from her that we have not yet paid. I was unaware of this. I don't know what the cause of this was as we booked and paid through booking.com. After discussing this with her in the most friendly way possible, I noted indeed we didn't pay. Still, if this is the reason she gave us bad treatment, she should have addressed it instead of ignoring us.

Great location, a few minute walk from the centre of Chatel and on the bus route to the ski stations. Accommodation is comfortable and clean. They have pool tables and table football on the ground floor for the children.
It didn’t snow while we were there, but it had snowed the previous week. out the front of the property it was iced over and really difficult to walk out the door without slipping over.

Alpine style, friendly and close to the cable car. Warm, comfy, a bed, a bathroom and a tv. Cute decor, lovely people. Generous breakfast.
If you are a gadgets person you might find it a bit basic.
