Wunderschön gelegen in einem Park, ein gepflegtes traditionelles Gebäude

The hotel itself is an impressive building, set in lovely grounds. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and good range of amenities (bonus points for having sockets by each side of the bed, and for being able to pull the TV out so we could attach our Chromecast and watch a bit of Netflix in the evening). The bathroom was immaculate and very nicely finished, towels were big and fluffy. Air conditioning worked perfectly. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make us feel like valued guests.
There wa no shelf in the shower to out toiletries on, but that's literally the one minor niggle from the entire stay.

Clean and comfy

Staff were lovely and the room was a good size. The bed was comfortable too.
Noise insulation was not good. The floors creaked even with a carpet and you could clearly hear people moving around in the room above and the TV and conversations from the adjacent room. Ear plugs helped but shouldn’t be necessary.

Really tasty breakfast and lovely shower
The decor was lovely but you could see it was not finished off properly so let the standard down

lovely place and very good value for money. good breakfast
walls are a bit thin - room was a bit noisy but overall it was a great stay

The Grounds ,hotel rooms were lovely. .whole building had bit of style and history to it .staff were pleasant and helpfull.felt our breakfast on the day let it down a bit.
Think for £ 18.95 breakfast in such establishment should be served to your table piping hot and of better quality ..buffet breakfast felt it let it down..sausages were anemic very pale .eggs were warm and congealed had to hunt around for certain items..to be honest had better breakfast at a greasy spoon ..very noisy dining room .came down 9ish on a Sunday I did not think to late maybe been bit better earlier not to sure.

Excellent more than enough
No complaints

Very friendly and exceptionally helpful Reception staff. I did not like the room we were initially allocated. It was absolutely no problem to be offered a much better room with a view
The breakfast was disappointing some of the items were warm rather than hot and some were not replaced when empty not good for a hotel of this standard. The price of £18.50 is way over the top, I thought the cost of £74 for the four of us was nowhere near good value for an offering of merely standard breakfast items.

its very lovely, pleasant surrounding grounds, nice bar and foyer area, staff all very very pleasant.
WEDDING PARTIES! there absolutely should be separation between weddings and non-wedding guests.

location,views and bar and restaurants
sadly our room smelled quite badly and tv didn’t work. over dinner they offered us another room but we declined as only a quick overnight and we had unpacked etc

plenty of parking and for such a busy area the hotel had lots of grounds. Two weddings when we visited, but this did not intrude on our visit
the creaky floorboards outside our room and the not so sound proof rooms

The room was classed as Superior Twin Room. Having stayed in several hotels both us felt it should be just a Twin room as it was far from 'superior'. On arrival there seemed to be a lack of tea and coffee facilities which we later found in the wardrobe ? . In the bath room there were three items to wash with, shower, body lotion and hair shampoo plus a tiny hand soap, this was for two sharing adults. We felt these should be doubled up as one person can easily use these up. The 'pop up' on the sink was broken so not good maintenance, however there were enough towels and everything was freshened up during the following days cleaning.
As we asked for a quite room we were surprised to not the guests in the room above could be heard as though stomping about making sleep hard.

staff, room OK, food OK
breakfast was ridiculous queues, not enough tables, given table then waitress gave it to someone else while we got in line. Q 15 mins for food some food ran out, juice ran out not enough staff. Dont do events if you cant cope.
