The pool, the view, the general vibe, the dinner area etc.
Small rooms, the masseuse they sent me drank from my partner’s glass casually without asking me first. I got out of the bathroom she had helped herself with water in our glasses. She never asked.
We booked a Sicilian cuisine thing, but they forgot to inform their staff so there was no slot when we arrived…
It’s a great place that may have become complacent a little bit I’m afraid. At this price point I have higher expectations. The food really isn’t that great, yes from the farm / garden, but they need to take it up a notch

Very warm welcome, amazing views, beautiful hotel and location

Good food, local produce, very tasty, well prepared. Great scenery, and a beautiful restoration of a Masseria.
We had bad weather which left us extremely limited in options of things to do. I would go as far as to say a stay at Susafa is entirely weather dependent.

This hotel is a really special place and a favourite on our trip so far. The setting, decor, food and hospitality were all superb.
It is a long slightly bumpy but beautiful drive off the beaten track but it’s worth it in our minds

The staff were an absolute pleasure. A beautiful family run business with staff that made you feel at home. The place felt like an Oasis in the middle of the country. Manfredi and the team were an absolute pleasure. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for making it such an amazing stay.
Very minor detail, be wary of the directions using Google Maps. It took us down a back path to the hotel which was a tricky road for a hire car. Be sure to take the A19 road to the hotel. This has nothing to do with the hotel though more of a FYI when driving to the location. Our stay was an absolute pleasure!

The staff were very attentive and ready to help. The property and pool was a highlight. Absolutely the best breakfast we have had in a hotel or b&b!
Our standard room was well appointed, however, when anyone passed by, the sound would carry and it would disturb all of the guests that had rooms facing the pool…Ask for a room on the left of the pool as it is recessed and quiet.

Stunning property, beautiful pool and facilities to lounge and relax. Restaurant was superb and breakfast was excellent - our best in italy by far!
The location is a fair way out of town and there isn’t much to do. So the place is perfect if you’re happy to relax by the pool. We were unable to get access to any of the cooking classes or activities as they were fully booked which was disappointing

The property is absolutely beautiful and well designed.
I found the food to be lackluster especially when taking the prices into account. It’s also very isolated so there aren’t many options around for exploring. It’s very quiet which I found boring and the atmosphere to me felt a little pretentious. Most guests seemed very pleased with their experiences, maybe it just wasn’t for me.

Staff is uber professional, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Susafa is an oasis and a gem - the landscape, beautifully tended garden, flowers and expansive vistas has enchanted us and a perfect respite.
We wouldn't change a thing.

We stayed at Susafa for two days and nights. We ate breakfast and dinner at Susafa and found it to be outstanding and delicious.
We stayed the week after Easter and the manor was relatively empty after having been packed the week prior. More people would have been more lively. But, we appreciated the opportunity to sit back and relax.

Amazing views, great food and beautiful grounds and property. we loved the dog and the huge tree swing.
Staff could have been more attentive and some facilities weren’t working.

Incredible views, absolute silence at night, cozy rooms with simple design in rural style. Ideal for short walks or long hikes, the cozy bar with fireplace, the wine, the breakfast, effective helpful staff, good heating since it gets cold up there at night, beautiful restaurant in an old grainery, however...
only a few dishes on the menu were truly outstanding. especially the starters and desserts. the pastas were a little hit and miss, and the meat was a little tough at times. If it had been less expensive we wouldn’t be as critical, but for those prices in back-of-beyond Sicily you’d expect something outstanding. the country roads leading to the property will be difficult for inexperienced drivers. we saw it as a challenge and had no time pressure, but one should know that it does take forever to get to the next sliproad if you feel like a further outing to the seaside or the national park. Although being completely left to one‘s own devices by the discrete staff and other guests lets you relax completely, however anyone looking for a laid-back familial atmosphere with a little conversation here and there might be disappointed. the clientele is quite snobby and the staff rather impersonal. It just depends if you like that kind of thing. We found the atmosphere a little cool.

The breakfasts were delicious and offered a variety of options.
They offered cookery classes which was a lovely idea.
The food was expensive and not as incredible as I thought it should be.
They had to have a green light in the bedroom above the door of the room, in case of fire I presume, but it was really intrusive at night.
There were a lot of fly's in the room.
