It’s our go-to in Calgary

It’s a gorgeous hotel with a great location.

My guess would be that the valet that brought up our car on departure either vaped in the car or vaped and then got in the car. It reeked of a grape smell that is typical of vaping when we got in. We weren’t overly impressed.

We could not get anyone to answer the phone. The front desk was always very busy and it was hard to get answers. They were working very hard, looked like they could have used more staff/ counter space.

Comfortable room but noisy from trains passing below.

Central and pleasant decor

Our room to the rear of the building overlooked the train line and there was noise of trains all night. Understand ithe hotel was historically built to service train passengers but better insulation against the noise is needed. Our earlier stay was to the front of the building and no noise problem.

Non-functioning steam room and Fairmont hotels go hand in hand

The location was great and the staff was helpful when we first arrived. They assured us of a late check-out.

We chose this hotel because it had a steam bath in the spa area. However, it was working. We were told it would be ready the following day. That did not prove to be case. This was the reason we chose this hotel as my wife and I both enjoy a steam bath. This is not the first time that a fairmont hotel has had issues with the steam bath. I understand that this has been inoperable since January. It would have been nice to have this posted on the website or in booking.com's website so that we could make an educated choice. Also, we were assured of a late checkout and we were not granted that. When we arrived at a room at 12:30 we could not get access as the vin card was the activated. Housekeeping let us to retrieve our belongings

Beyond expectations, an extraordinary experience with unmatched service!

Wow, what an incredible stay! The hotel's staff made me feel like royalty, and the stunning room and delightful food added to the experience. I must mention a special incident during my stay - I accidentally left my laptop, but the staff promptly found and safely returned it to my home. Their exceptional service and honesty went above and beyond my expectations. I can't stop raving about this fantastic experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to relive those unforgettable moments and experience the hotel's outstanding hospitality again!

Not worth it

The hotel was very impressive and staff very friendly.

Parking or checking in was problematic. There is no where to park. All the information only provided valet parking and no practical information that a self parking parkade is connected to the hotel and would be useful to have this information. Very stressful situation. The room was a larger closet. Two swashed double beds in a tiny room. The door opened right onto the bed. All the appliances were positioned inconvenientley under the TV and with no lighting available to see anything. Not a great stay.

Nice, but would not stay again

When our coffee machine broke we were sent a complimentary room service coffee and cheesecake. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Love this classic hotel.

Palliser is located perfectly for access to downtown restaurants, Theatre Calgary, and other attractions. Had a nice room and an excellent breakfast. Service from valet parking to check-in to restaurant was outstanding.

Fabulous and can’t wait to come back

The service was outstanding from everyone, room was very comfortable and food was delicious. I will be staying here again.

It was very clean and everyone seemed happy to be there including the staff. It was a really nice vibe and I felt happy to be there.

Frendly welcomeing staff

Staff were friendly, but not intrusive. A great location for visiting down town Calgary. beautiful spa, gym and pool area in the basement.

Personal pet hate, no spoons in the room. I don't like trying to stir tea with a small wooden stick. No orange juice in the room fridge.

Couples weekend

The restaurant, spa, and all amenities were amazing.

Experienced a little bit of difficulty booking massages at the spa. Everything was rectified and exceeded expectations.

Made to feel like 2nd class guests who shouldn't have been there.

Not much. Swimming facilities were okay.

We were "upgraded" to a Junior Suite, only problem was it was a slightly bigger room but with just the one bed. After explaining this at reception we were moved to the same sized room with two small beds with just the one bathroom. The bath had rust around chain and plug, after complaining about this we were given a free bottle of prosecco which was a nice gesture. The Christmas day meal was booked for 7pm, The staff member who was serving looked like she couldn't be bothered with us and had a face to prove it, we all ordered our meals and drinks which duly arrived but were dry and overcooked, she never asked if we would like any more drinks and oddly only gave 2 of us desserts even though 3 of us had ordered, quite simply you were made to feel unwelcome,
