Location good. Food was good. All the wait staff was so friendly and helpful.
More selections of beverages for non-coffee drinkers.

The staff were helpful and so friendly. They were short staffed but when we went to the reception for more coffee / creamers, glasses, etc. they were very helpful. There was access to a computer with a printer in the lobby area which came in handy.
The rooms need updating and we could hear footsteps from the floor above.

Very comfortable and everything you could want for an overnight stay. The laundry facilities were a great bonus!
Rather out of town so a long walk there and back if you don’t want to drive to a restaurant in the evening.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. At check-in, we were provided with maps of the property and the town and further information for the Cabot Trail which we were visiting the next day. Also provided recommendations of restaurants that were open. The chalet was clean and cozy, felt very private.

Things I loved: huge room, very large comfy bed, large shower with wonderful water pressure, very cold air conditioning, quiet space inside the room, loved the large window showing off the view from the deck which was AMAZING. The curtains also made it super dark at night and in the morning which was a big plus for us. The sink was outside the bathroom, which at first I found weird but then I actually liked it, considering COVID-19. It was nice to be able to wash my hands while my partner was in the bathroom. Also loved the sink area and huge mirror to do my makeup! Staff at front desk were wonderful when we first arrived. Called once to ask for more towels and toilet paper and the lady who answered was very pleasant. Housekeeping and maintenance workers were always waving and smiling at us. We had such a fantastic time, we will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Cape Breton!
My partner and I personally thought the pillows were too big and we found our heads were sliding off them very easily. No coffee machine in the room, didn't know about that in advance. The outlets weren't near the bedside table, just an impossible one to reach sort of under the bed. Had to charge our phones on the other sides of the room. The deck wasn't private, everyone can see each other and you're not super far apart. Kind of wished there was even just a little divider to be a little more private, I found other guests on the sides of us liked to stare. Not really a complaint because it can't exactly be fixed, but if one of the rooms near you has their A/C on, it is super loud and takes away from peacefully sitting and watching the view. Understandable because A/Cs are loud but maybe with a little divider it would help the sound. WiFi wasn't that great, even with full bars the internet was still super slow and lagging. The restaurant wasn't open which I didn't know about until the email I got after I booked.

This property was outstanding! First of all the view! We were roomed in the west lodge and we had the most stunning view of Bras d’Or lake. However, I suspect the view is just as amazing in any of the lodges! The room was very comfortable and incredibly well equipped with everything a traveller needs. The beds were super, the shower was powerful, there was a fridge, iron and board and of course a great deck to sit on in the evenings to enjoy the view. It was also great to have a dedicated parking space right outside the room, so no trudging around pulling cases up the slope! The staff were very polite and helpful, and were even able to facilitate an early check-in as we had a wedding to attend that afternoon. It’s only a minutes drive to the centre of Baddeck and only 11 mins drive from the fantastic local Big Spruce Brewery! We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel for the last leg of our Cape Breton journey!
The noisy A/C units on the decking, this was a bit irritating when trying to enjoy a relaxed evening on the decking.
