Great location and views from my room. Good food in the area and activities. Plenty of games and water park was fun.
I don’t like that my ocean view king suite was not fully renovated like the pictures online. There was old torn carpet in the bedroom and all the furniture was old as well with stains and marks. For the amount paid for that specific room I was expecting it to be like the pictures online.

Le bruit sur l’étage a chaque nuit. La piscine et le restaurant principal étaient fermés L’odeur de cannabis partout à l’extérieur mais à l’intérieur sur les étages ça sentait aussi. Notre chambre avait une odeur de cigarette aussi. Le RC est très bruyant (musique très forte, mais bonne)

It was family oriented.
Guest have to pay $25.00 per day for parking. There is no pool for guest who don’t want to pay for the new Water park.

I liked how it was directly on the boardwalk.
The property messed up the booking. I reserved a balcony room and did not get that the first night. Not all of their suites have sofa beds like they promote on their site. Their idea of accommodating that is to bring up a cot which I feel is unacceptable. A cot is vastly different then a mattress on a pull out sofa. I was moved three times and each room had issues. The first rooms tv did not work and the dividing door to separate the living room from the bedroom didn’t close fully. The last room we ended up in didn’t have a working coffee maker and also didn’t have a hair dryer. When I booked this balcony suite, I figured it would have all the best accommodations seeing as it is the most expensive room the hotel offers but it was very disappointing. The staff was also rude. I felt like they were annoyed by my request for wanting the room I reserved. A side note - I paid in full for my stay weeks prior so I’m not sure where the miscommunication was. I had to go down to the desk 6 times before I finally was in a room with a balcony and a pull out sofa bed. It was extremely frustrating and took time away from my vacation.

I like the water park
Room 699 was not clean and i found a bed bug on the headboard; they moved us to a different room, they should maintain their room clean and sanitize them after each customer if we take bedbugs home that too damaging to our property you can just imagine! I am not happy at all. The staff would not believed its bed bgs but he wouldn’t even look at it!

There was no microwave, no coffee or washclothes in our room, we had to track a housekeeper down for these things. The vending machines we tried to use to get waters were not working or empty. Same with the vending on first floor, as they were saying empty. The fridge was wobbly in the cabinet. Other than these things, the room was clean, bed was comfy and we slept well. We recommend if you need a clean place to sleep. The price we paid was a bit much when compared to lack of amenities. We could have received more for our money if we chose other hotels within close proximity.

There were only two pillows on the bed. They were so uncomfortable, I woke up in the morning sore all over. The hallways are dated and dirty. Parking was $40 per day, not per 24 hours but per day from 12am to 11:59 PM. It didn't matter if you were a hotel guest or not. I was told that it was run by a 3rd party so showboat had no control over that. Just an FYI, you scan a code to pay for parking, I was told there is someone who comes around and checks license plates to verify payment of parking, if unpaid then you will receive a ticket. I didn't chance it so I parked at Hard Rock which cost $15 for the entire time I was in the garage.

The location is the only positive thing I have to say after this stay.
The condition of the room was extremely disappointing and shouldn't be allowed to cost so much.
The furniture is SO beat up, chipping, faded, etc.
The mattresses were awful, you could feel every spring and it was obvious they were very cheap.
The air conditioner does not work properly. We all woke up in a sweat and the thermostat read 77 but was set to 70 and running all night.
I will never pay to stay here again. The only reason I did was because the Hard Rock was sold out and now I know why - their quality meets the price. Staying at Showboat felt like a scam that cost me over $400.

My first room which was 1194 shower water was extremely cold, wet damp spots on the carpet, Second room where I found a lost cat in my room on Saturday night, a cat that has been there since Thursday or Friday 3/28-3/29, there wasn’t no wash cloths, no hand towels, only towels, the waterpark water was extremely freezing cold, paid $20 extra to upgrade to the adult side when there was nothing but kids on the adult side

First off, after reading all the bad reviews I was a little nervous about staying here,but when I arrived, everything about the staff in the reviews was the total opposite for me,all of the staff was very friendly,helpful, informative, and kind.the reviews said that they don't answer the phone but they answered my call about my TV not working and sent someone right away,and he was even so pleasant, he even told me that if I had any other problems just call him back anytime that was so assuring the staff and especially the front desk staff day and night was so nice and friendly. The arcade staff,the skating staff,the Go-Karts staff,the Waterpark front desk staff....I mean they were all GREAT! CUSTOMER SERVICE GREAT! My room was beautiful next time I'll get a balcony, but overall I loved everything except my bed it was GORGEOUS but not comfortable. And guess what I'm coming back in a month and hopefully I get to stay in the same section but with a balcony, we stayed in the Bourbon section of the hotel......ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! And I loved that everything was right there in the hotel for my son and my nephew because it made it so much easier for me to keep them entertained because we were there for their spring break, we stayed 5 days and they didn't want to leave so I'm booking again in a month and I'll be bringing my grandkids as well. Again GREAT STAFF!
The walk to the parking garage and the fact that I had to pay to park.I received a code to get free parking because I spent a certain amount at the water park and when I put the code in the parking app didn't expect it instead they charged me a convenient fee of $10 because my parking didn't come off my card.so I was pretty messed up about that. And the fact that I spent over $1,000 there in the arcade and Waterpark alone not including food at the restaurant,I think I should've gotten at least 1 day of free parking.

I didn’t like that we paid for overnight stay just to find out the price and resort fee didn’t include the waterpark check in is after 4 and check out is 11am water park opens 12pm so if we checked in after 4 and it closes at 7 doesn’t leave enough time to explore the actual park also everything was closed in the morning so paying full price for the tickets I think half price is fair but that’s just me nice hotel overall

Me and my son was happy with the comfort in the room. My son enjoyed the availability of the recreational activities there. The waterpark was awesome for both me and son.
The check-in line was ridiculous. The staff wasn't answering the front desk phone, had to call five times before someone finally answered. The staff took forever to bring the additional towels and rags.

The water park was great it was the mail purpose of our trip. We got there on a Wednesday the breakfast places weren’t available until Saturday & Sunday so we had to travel outside the hotel however we did enjoyed staying here. It was our second time and we will be back. The kids also enjoyed the arcade, roller skating & mini golf.
There’s not too much option for eating. We got there on a Wednesday a family Of 10 and there was not much places open to eat. We had to go outside of the hotel. We stayed until Saturday, which was the day breakfast was finally offered in the hotel.Maybe more restaurants or kid friendly places to eat. And also places to eat during the week not just on the weekend

The staff was very polite at check in, they was very overwhelmed with a lot of check ins but they was very nice. The room we stayed in was a nice size but a little old but that didn’t really bother us, the bed and pillows wasn’t as hard as a rock they were actually comfortable. Our room had an amazing view of the beach. The hotel is within walking distance to the Hard Rock where we went to watch a band, the arcade in the lobby is absolutely amazing, we had so much fun in the arcade. The hotel has just about everything you can ask for.
I did not like the fact that there is no microwaves in the room. There was some stains on my bed sheets but we did not use them we just took them off the bed, and there was some stains on the chairs and some sticky stuff on the carpet in my room. Other than that, everything was great.

I called the property prior to booking to ask if the water park would be open for the holiday because both sites had different information the nasty front desk attendant said , I told you the water park is closed in Tuesday which in fact it was open and i gave her the date when i asked , I booked 2 beds upon arrival the room was available there was only a king and pull out couch room which i accepted, there wasn’t any bedding for the pull out couch i called the front desk they told me room service would drop the sheets off , what was dropped off was about 10 towels !! I called a half hour later to let them know i never received the sheets in which they told me room service had left for the day i would have to come to the front desk to pick up the sheets . I needed to get ice none of the ice machines were in service , I asked the front desk attendant does she know any floor that has a ice machine she stated i dont you can try a few floors. I said what about the next tower , she stated she didnt know anything about the other tower or what worked . The elevators take a keycard for the higher floors which only one side of the elevators actually work . All and all i wouldn’t stay at this property if it was for free . Just go to the waterpark and arcade and stay somewhere else !!!

The property is very very old and not updated. The bed is well over 20 years old and very dirty sunk in the middle. The property is kept but not so great
