The lobby and bar were superb and service impeccable . I was disappointed in our rooms.

Exceptional

From the moment we walked in the staff was amazing. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who showed us around the main floor got all of our information and also helped us carry our bags up to the room. We were told about their complementary breakfast as well as drink at the bar and told that we had a butler service and chauffeur as needed. We checked in on New Year’s Eve and were still able to get a complementary ride to and from dinner, which they called around and found us somewhere that had an opening and made a reservation, and then they took us to our late night show. Breakfast the following morning was amazing and more than we have ever come across at any chain hotel. This day was even more special even with changes in their staffing/ownership they were more than accommodating and made our stay so wonderful. The small extra things that they did daily to make us feel welcome were amazing and any time we come back to Buffalo we will only be staying here

Nice old mansion but more attention to cleaning needed.

Breakfast was really good. Enjoyed the attention to detail and great food.

The room was not clean. Heavy dust on the walls and moldy walls in bathroom. There was hair in the bed.

Great stay that was well worth the cost.

Beautiful property in a great location. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

The bathroom in our room could use some updating but it didn’t detract from our stay at all.

Once was enough!

Breakfast was divine!

Room was very smelly and kinda dirty. Yes, it’s a grand mansion with 15 ft ceilings, however, it’s old and tired. The furnishings, carpeting, drapes, etc all need updating. I would not stay here again.

beautiful building excellent staff

despite booking a grand queen vs a classic queen we had a small narrow room overlooking A/C units on roof. booking.com misrepresented room in photo as - showed architectural detail with tall windows. would prefer a buffet breakfast vs a served breakfast

Great place to stay!

The mansion has been lovingly restored. It is very grand and the decorations are contemporary. There is beautiful art on the walls.The staff is very proud and eager to host people. Complementary breakfast was delicious. Your first drink is on the house and the bar is grand and welcoming. We had a great bartender who told us the history of the property and Buffalo. It was totally great.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Location. Staff attentive.

The room had an air conditioning system that had a hose out the window- noisy. No one cleaned the room unless you were there for 3 nights. Very disappointing stay.

I love this place,thanks for all that you did for me.

I got more than i paid for at this place.Great atmosphere.The staff pays attention to their guests needs and oh yes they will go over and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Im definitely coming back to this place.

Gorgeous place, fabulous staff, many bonuses included.

the fireplace was fabulous as was the staff, complimentary breakfast, first free drink at the bar, heated tile floor in the bathroom, offers to drive us anywhere within a 3 mile radius, and staff knowledge of the area/history.

the pictures listed are all of rooms that are still historic. the room we were in was very modernized, though still nice. The mattress felt a little cheap for the hotel. Also, we booked a room with the luxury bathtub, but we were given a room with a standing shower instead.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city.

The staff was amazing. They took time to get to know each of the guests and what brought us to Buffalo. They followed up and asked about our specific events. They were amazing.

I can't really think of anything I didn't like.

Stay once, guaranteed to be in your "Best of" list!

The mansion itself was lovely, the staff was second to none, and the food and drinks exceptional. Feels like 5-6 people who love their jobs were assigned exclusively to you to meet your every need! And the location is excellent, near many restaurants, clubs, theaters, and music venues. Can't wait to come back!
