It was a nice, clean place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't really have a chance to try the breakfast, but it was nice that it was offered. The room was nice and a good size. The lobby/common area was pretty, especially the fireplace.
It was convenient for us as we were in town to visit relatives and was a short ride to wherever we wanted to go.
The noise from construction. Also, we should have been informed that would be happening during our stay ahead of time. However, the front desk did give us a free one night stay to make up for it and we were satisfied with that.

Everything, people were very nice. Wanted to spend another night. Very very good night. Even the breakfast hit the spot for my family.
In the morning I tried to book another night and was told they would update me if they had a cancellation.. At checkout out time I was told 1 was available, but I had to turn it down as I booked another place. It was a miscommunication. I will stay here again.

We like the fact it is a 5 minute drive from our son's home. He rented a van & came to pick the 5 of us up every morning & return us in the evening.
The cost seemed much higher than when we stayed there & it was the Staybridge Suites.

Good for family with kids. Breakfast was lot better that most similar places I have stayed in the past.
Hotel needs to upgrade to LED TVs in the rooms.

Breakfast was adequate. It is my favorite meal, so I am always disappointed with a hotels complimentary breakfast

The gentleman, Skip, that assisted us when checking in on Wednesday night was the only good thing.
The first room we were given, RM 323, was not cleaned and looked as if someone was still staying in the room. The receptionist stated the room had been inspected but was otherwise false. Second room, RM 429, was decent, until we attempted to lock the door for the night that would not lock. After examining the door and lock, I was able to see the door was "adjusted". The lock no longer lined up to secure itself and there was an inch to 2 inches of space between the door & floor. Everyone and everything that happened was heard. Feeling no privacy in anyway. The bed was uncomfortable, causing restless nights. In the kitchenette ants were on the counter and under the coffee pot. After reporting it to the front desk receptionist on Friday morning due to refusing to be relocated Thursday morning, I was presented with what would be described as a sour face and irritated demeanor. I was speaking politely, trying to not create a scene, but was met with rude attitude.

The room was great. Good bed and well-appointed kitchenette.
They didn’t have ice machines you could access on any floor (the one in the fridge didn’t work). Breakfast started later than most hotels I’ve been to, which changed our schedule a bit.

I booked this room very last minute and did not realize how busy the three day weekend would make all the hotels in the area and how most would sell out. It was a tad expensive for just the 1 night, but that one night was a great experience. I would stay again.:) I would also check out the amenities a bit more. I did not realize the room came with a full kitchen so I missed on some opportunities to cook.

I enjoyed my 13 nights at Sonesta ES Suites, Sorrento.
Pros: Spacious studio room with very comfortable Queen bed, 4 plush pillows, full kitchen with large, quiet refrigerator. Hide-a-bed which doubled as a comfortable couch. Desk, office chair and fast Wi-Fi, 2 small coffee tables, large TV. My room (#322) looked south, onto palm trees and the pool. A/C worked well and was quiet. Parking ($10/day) offered spaces with morning or afternoon shade. Good hot breakfast, with egg & meat dishes, sometimes potato pancakes or sautéed vegetables. Fruit (usually bananas, oranges and apples). Oatmeal and toppings. Sweet pastries, breakfast cereals, yogurt. Decaf and regular coffee. 2% milk. 30 ft long heated pool, open 08-22h, in which I swam laps. I liked the staff, who were friendly and efficient. Owing to my low energy level caused by my liver problem, they let me check out 7 days early on only 12 hr notice, without penalty. The hotel was good value, with luxurious accommodation. It was as good as the Residence Inn (Marriot) in Sorrento and the Homewood Suites (Hilton) in Carlsbad, where my wife and I stayed in Feb/March this year.
Cons: Out front (N. side) was a carwash which seemed busy 7 days/week. The vacuum cleaners were quite noisy, so N. facing rooms would not have suited me. For several days I could hear the guests stomping around in the room above mine.

It was more than we expected. The suite we stayed at was clean, comfortable, specious, exactly what we needed. The front desk staff is super friendly and great customer service. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and relatives.

Room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good and well above the expectations of “included breakfast option”. highly recommend for San Diego stay, especially if you’re interviewing at one of the companies within a couple of miles of the hotel.
there’s quite a variety of food places within a 10 min drive.
It was great, nothing negative to say!

the rooms were perfect for an extended stay for a family of 4. they had a crib as well. great, easy location for our needs, plenty of parking. good gym. very family friendly (they even gave our little ones toys)
we stayed at 4 different hotels on this road trip and this by far had the most disappointing breakfast, definable better than a more continental breakfast but we got spoiled by the other place.

The weekend breakfast was great!
The room was spacious and the bed and pillows were soft and comfy. You get unlimited towels. The hotel is in a safe and convenient location, surrounded by lots of stores and restaurants. The staff is friendly and obliging. Never had a problem with them at all. Overall a solid 7-8 for the stay.
The weekday breakfast was lacking. Very few options each day. The laundry facility was always unkempt and there are 3 washers and 3 dryers. Only 1 washer worked the whole 8 days we were there. The washers need repairing and cleaned out every so often. Because its an extended stay hotel, a proper sink is needed in the bathroom to place toothbrush etc.

After a couple of days, the dirty carpet/sofa smell was unbearable so I requested for a different room. Thank goodness the staff were nice and there was another room available.
