Overall this hotel offered a nice stay and if in the area would stay here again.

The rooms were nice, had everything we needed. Rooms offered plenty of space which was nice, except for bathroom, which was very cramped. Mattress was very firm, which I normally like, but I woke up with a sore back. Mattress looked new though, which was nice to see. Hotel room seemed very clean which is the most important thing to me. Front desk staff was friendly. My wife said the breakfast was pretty good. This was a good centralized location for our stay.

Elevator was slow and small, not easy to get to from our room location so we primarily used stairs. I had to step off the elevator so two girls could exit. There were only four smaller stature people on the elevator with minimal luggage at the time. Bathroom was small and cramped. Bathtub floor was narrow, curved upward around the edges and a bit slippery as a result. Bathroom sink water pressure was not strong and water would only get a little warm, not hot. Couch cushions didn’t seem great, stiff and lacked padding. TVs were a bit small. Curtains in bedroom had some staining. Side entrance staircase got very dirty during our stay. The weather may be to blame as it rained a lot but it definitely was not cleaned at least one night as it was dirty the morning we departed.

Sonesta ES Charlottesville was a great home base for exploring Charlottesville!

The location is one of the reasons we chose Sonesta ES Charlottesville, it was convenient to all the things we were doing or about to do, including shopping and wine tasting. The breakfast was quite good and offered a wide selection of choices, both hot and cold.

Location was great, breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Suite was clean.

Excessive pre authorization fees. Microwave was not working. Need to have more room attention with trash removal and fresh towels provided more than 3 day interval although taken care of when requested. Could use more outside seating that is up kept and convenient.

Very bright ceiling lights and no dimming feature in bathroom for nighttime. Bed was very high and I could not sit on it. I had to climb in like a kid!

Would not stay there or refer this hotel to others

Dirty. Shower curtain had mold on it. Carpet was grungy. Overpriced because of graduation weekend.

Proximity to John Paul Jones arena. Two bedroom suite is spacious.

Front Desk Staff incompetent. Took me 45 minutes to check us in with no one in line. Could not check in until after 6 pm.

So very clean! Room was very spacious. Included small amenities not usually included.

Had to wait until 5:30 pm to check in due to staffing issues. Front desk staff was very apologetic and gave us free drinks. Wish breakfast lasted a bit longer.

Not satisfied. Feel cheated. Do not trust Sonesta to provide fair treatment. shame on Sonesta!!

the facility was comfortable and convenient

Check in was scheduled for 4pm. we had an event at 8pm and our room was still not ready. it was just before midnight before we could check in. this was a Sonesta resource issue yet they charged full price for the night. we lost 8 hours of the time we were entitled to occupy the accommodation and the charge should have been prorated accordingly. hard to believe that Sonesta sees this as good customer service.

Worst breakfast I ever had in a hotel. Old French toast, plastic eggs, watery coffee, etc.
