Nette und gemütliche Unterkunft mit aufmerksamen Personal. Während unseres Aufenthalts fand einmal abends ein stimmungsvolles kleines Jazzkonzert statt. Wir können das Oakhurst Inn uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Everything was wonderful the only thing that confused me were the prices. The food, the staff, basically everything with one exception, I paid approximately $400 a night and yet on their website there were specials I qualified for, and when I searched for prices many were a lot less.
More transparency would be nice and if you’re offering discounts, somebody should communicate that to you when you check in.

so quaint and unusual. rooms with modern bathrooms and large shared common space living rooms in Arts and Crafts style houses on quiet cul de sac. great cafe for breakfast.
4.1
The pool area was a pleasant surprise. Parking was so easy. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
I was surprised to learn the bar was only open on Mondays. They said it was because they couldn’t find a new bartender when the last one left. Felt like a miss. The “coffee” in the room was terrible and the cafe wasn’t open when we went to get some. The rooms felt a little worn - not plush in the way I was hoping they’d be. Felt a bit more like a fancy dorm than an upscale inn.

beautiful rooms. one with kitchen and W/D, perfect location for a UVA visit
noise between the rooms

This location is absolutely perfect! It's conveniently located near some really great places to eat and the downtown mall is only about an 8 minute drive away! The bar and cafe on the property are wonderful, and we absolutely loved the common areas!
Our room was a little small, but honestly it made it kind of cozy!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is so kind and helpful! During the day when the curtains are open in the room the backdrop of the location through the windows is so pretty and cozy. The bed is so comfortable and the sound machine is a nice touch! It’s a great place to have a sound sleep!
For a boutique hotel experience the rooms are lacking some basic amenities. There is no mini fridge in the room so you cannot keep drinks or snacks cold. There is also no real coffee brewer, just instant coffee in the room and the outlet for the tea kettle was so far from the tabletop the tea kettle was basically balancing on the edge of the tabletop to brew. These are small inconveniences but they add up to be kind of frustrating when you’re hoping to experience a boutique setting. If we were staying for longer than one night it would have been more of an inconvenience. The bathroom was not clean, drips of dirt on the walls and the shower had someone else’s hair stuck to the walls and wrapped around the cosmetic rack. The throw pillow for the bed was also just tossed up on top of the ironing board in the corner. Overall, it felt as though the housekeeping was rushed. Again, small details on their own but stacked together felt disappointing. Also- there are 3 hangers and 1 single hook in the entire room/bathroom and this is a constant complaint in hotels for me but putting more hooks in these rooms so people don’t have to drop all their purses, jackets, toiletry bags, etc on the floor or all over the beautiful furniture would make such a difference.

location. a quaint/unique inn close to Grounds.
parking can be inconvenient.

The grounds are beautiful as are the rooms

Proximity to UVA and historic charm, and the staff was helpful and responsive.
The actual room we stayed in did not look like the advertised one when I selected the room category. Think I got the out-of-towner “she won’t be back anyway” room!

convenient location and great outdoor space

Cute outside. Rooms not bad. A new carpet would of made a big difference. Nice bathrooms. Liked the pool really clean water
Guy at front desk wasn’t friendly acted like he didn’t wanna speak. Valet guys were nice

location is great.
Old building and a run down room. It was not very clean either. The carpets in rooms are disgusting. The shower is unpleasant. there was not even a coffee machine in the room.

They were very accommodating and allowed me to leave my car/luggage even after checkout. I had events scheduled at UVA and was able to get my car late afternoon.
The cafe is closed on Tuesdays but they did have a few muffins/coffee for breakfast.

The Oakhurst is a cute little boutique hotel on the edge of the UVA campus. While you can't walk to downtown, it's a great location for the campus. It's stylish and the beds are comfortable. Free chilled water bottles in the shared sitting area were a nice perk.
The marketing materials suggested the hotel is on a quiet street, but while it fronts onto a quiet street and neighbourhood, it backs onto a really busy noisy large road. Our room was quite noisy, and the ceiling fan also made a noise, so we couldn't use it. It was a small room, but there was a shared sitting room, and we were only there a single night so it was okay.

Very lovely hotel. Very fresh and clean. There’s no parking on the street, but they offer complimentary valet service, so all good.
Rooms are very well decorated and super cozy. All the common areas too. Clean, fresh and look beautiful.
Just don’t eat breakfast in their cafe. Everything that we ordered was disgusting. I thought how can you go wrong with avocado toast? In this place you can 😬
Save yourself some disappointment and go eat in downtown.

Lovely boutique hotel in a fantastic location in Charlottesville. Clean, well appointed and very friendly staff.

charming old homes on a circular tree-lined street.
charming old homes have thin walls and creaky floors.

the vibe. it’s cosy
a lot of stairs. I had heavy bags and it was a struggle to navigate the place with them!
4.1
What a great find! Unique, attractive, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff all in an excellent location if your destination is central grounds of UVa. We were only disappointed that our trip didn't call for a longer stay so we could enjoy the property more.
Nothing!

The staff was great both at the Inn and the cafe. I liked the common areas-the libraries, screened porches, Adirondack chairs, bar and the pool area.
I came by train and found the location a bit inconvenient for what I wanted to do but it is very close to UVA.

location would be the best. not much else
misleading photos suggesting an ordinary hotel with a FOUR star rating. rooms are in several different buildings that were obviously old dorm or frat house rooms. no elevators, no bellmen. dragging you luggage up and down narrow stairs. very difficult figuring where to check in, park etc. the only thing that was FIVE star was the price. over $1,000 for two rooms for one night.

Location was great and convenient. The room and property was very clean. We had a drink included with the Sip and Stay rate and the gal at the bar made the sours from scratch and the drinks tasted delicious!
The bed was a little hard. The parking was somewhat sparse but Courtney the valet was very helpful
