The room smelled like mold! It looked like there were issues with water….definitely has mold in the room. Not a great location and was too expensive for what they were offering. Ugly bathrooms and didn’t seam clean. The price didn’t match the level of the hotel.

It is located only a 2 minute drive from Wake Forest University. The room was large and the bed very comfy. The front desk staff was awesome and friendly and knowledgeable about the area as it was our first time there. Would stay again.
My trip was too short, only stayed one night. Hoping my nephew decides on Wake Forest University so I can visit..

Reception was very helpful when we checked in and helped us with a booking issue even though the hotel was very crowded that day.
It is not my responsibility to have to deal with your night security guard who is unhappy with their life or job or whatever her problem was. I shouldn't be threatened while staying with you by a member of your staff. That was unacceptable. I paid a good bit of money to stay with you and expect your nighttime employees to be as welcoming as your daytime employees. Her attitude towards this hotels' guests was beyond unacceptable. To have a member of your security team tell us to go stand on the sidewalk outside your property at night to smoke a cigarette because she was "shutting it down" was unacceptable as well. It is not her right to tell 2 guests, who were not being loud or disruptive, to go to their room like we were in timeout. I was absolutely shocked by the amount of hostility towards us from that security guard and have never experienced anything like that at another hotel.

Good location in terms of proximity to WFU. Very reasonably priced. Generous sized rooms. Helpful staff. A good hotel all round.
Dining options limited.

The room was clean and comfortable.
Parking was bad. There were vehicles with trailers taking up parking spaces close to the entrance and I can't walk too far. The toilet seat would not stay up and the room did not have a pull out sofa as advertised.

Lady behind the counter was very helpful multiple times. Represented Marriott well when a patron from the hotel across the street came to complain about something completely out of her control and had nothing to do with Marriott.

Stay was wonderful albeit for the fire alarm that went off. But even that was well handled. We will definitely stay with Marriott Courtyard again!
All was good.
