We stayed in the Wikd Bill Hickock room. It was well appointed. We loved the large copper soaker tub. Very comfy. Hot water was hot and plenty of it. This is a very nicely remodled Nostalgic trip back to the 1950's. Staff was awesome. Location is 5 minutes of I44. Recommend as an Ozark adventure stop.
Our air conditioner did not cool very well. It wasn't hot in the room or unbearable, but the AC just didn't blow cold air. Cool, but not cold.

Location was convenient and the staff were so kind and very nice to work with. The esthetic is cute and I liked the classic phone booth outside the office and the cute checkered floor of the bathroom.
Bathroom is on the smaller side, not many surfaces to put toiletries, but if it's just a one night stay it's no big deal.
Shower head shoots needles of water out, if it had a standard, it would be the flayed man. I couldn't wash my face under the shower as it was so painful and I was scared to come out of the shower missing an eye or something.
Our bed was dirty, it looked like someone hairy slept in the sheets and no one bothered to change them. We slept on top of the comforter and hoped that was clean.
The windows are single pane, meaning you can hear everything outside. Once morning hits, you would think you're sleeping on the street with how clearly you can hear the traffic. I'm all for maintaining a classic look and feel of a historic spot but some things need to be updated. Windows are one such thing.

The staff was very friendly and even opened up a couple of the theme rooms for some of the guests to see. The bunk beds were perfect for our two small travelers. Breakfast was delicious! Excellent experience!

the unfriendly attitude of the desk clerk, our room didn’t work electricity wise and the drunk family beating and cussing on the door. horrible experience

The breakfast was delish with hot eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles and fruit. A tray to carry back to your room would be great.
We have stayed before in the 2 room suite so I reserved one this time. This room was clean amd well appointed. However, three things need to be addressed. #1..I could see light all around the room door, including a huge gap under the door. This allows hot or cold air in and potentially insects. #2..the king mattress was worn out..room 206..it is obvious the side toward the closet is the most used. It was saggy and felt like springs under the sheet. The other side of the bed was much better. #3..though the toilet overflowed early in the morning on our last day that isn't my complaint. The toilet itself is the type you typically see in a daycare. Built for a small child. I'm 5'9" and felt like I was nearly sitting on the floor.
I would stay here again just not room 206 unless things have been fixed.

I had my dog with me so we used a pet room. It was very clean. No smells. I looked for bedbugs as soon as we entered. There were NO signs of any kind of bugs anywhere in the room or bathroom. There was a nice grassy area just across the parking lot to walk my dog. Parked right outside my door so I felt my vehicle was safe and taking stuff into room was very easy. The breakfast was very good with a variety of cold, hot and quick items. The staff at front desk were very nice. I will stay here again!
The bathroom was a little on the cold side for my liking.

Room was super clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable with awesome pillows and super soft bedding. Excellent lighting with an bright overhead lighting and several lamps. Lamp with outlets for charging devices on nightstand. Nice hot shower with plenty of thick soft towels. Large ice cold mini fridge. Nice large mirror and counter for getting ready. Parking right outside our room was super convenient. The outdoor pool and hot tub looked amazing. I want to return in the summer to enjoy that area.
The breakfast area was super busy. They had a good variety of breakfast items. I tried going twice. Both times there was no where to sit as the tables were all full and both times there was a line for waffles. I think an extra waffle maker or 2 would help. They did have to-go boxes, so I gave up and grabbed a few items and took them back to the room. Not sure if it is always like that or if I just had bad timing. The items I did have were all very good, so not a big deal missing a waffle.
