It was pleasant.

The room was clean; everything worked and we had room service every day. The staff was friendly. The room rate was certainly more reasonable than that of Holidays Inn or Marriott.

The furniture in the room such as the table and chair were old but that was minor details.

Outdated by Comfy and Clean

The staff were extremely friendly and exceptionally kind. Check in in particular was great, because they gave all the information in a clear, easy way, ensuring I had no questions to get settled in. Check in and check out both went smoothly and were excellent. I really appreciated that on check in they gave me an invoice copy without even having to ask, which is something I really look forward to. The bed was extremely comfy, and the pillows were great, as well. Sheets and bedding were all crisp and clean, and the room was clean on arrival with fresh towels, sheets, and soaps for the bathroom. The second night was very calm and peaceful, and it was nice to relax.

The wifi was a little spotty, though I can't hold that completely against the Inn themselves, as there's a ton of things that could lead to that. While everything was clean, the facilities in the room are very dated and absolutely look like they are in need of updating. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great (but the temp was wonderful), and the bathroom was a bit dim. There is a slight smell when you walk into the rooms - I think it's from the scent of cleaning products. I'm super sensitive, so this bugged me for a bit, but if you aren't sensitive to scents, I don't think it would be a problem.

The room could have been cleaner and the outside trash cans were over flowing to the ground.

Ground floor with close parking

No tv channel guide. Too few channels. To close to noisy intersection. No breakfast.

EPIC FAIL! NEVER AGAIN!!

A lot of stores around the property. Surface parking at my room door. Layout of my room.

Cobwebs everywhere. Carpet stick to your shoes, never shampooed. Shower liner has stains. The room smelled. People hanging out around your room, loud in their room, and outside.

Quick overnight trip with my girls for a volleyball tournament.

Our second stay here for my daughter's volleyball tournaments. Very nice staff, clean room, easy access to room from parking lot and close to our destination.

It's just a little outdated, but that's not necessarily a negative or something we didn't like.

Always a great time, favourite motel to stay at in Rockford

It's close to many fast food places and restaurants and also not too far from walmart and other stores. The staff is very friendly and they get you to your room quickly. The room was comfortable, beds were soft and the AC/heat worked great. The TV was nice and big and the cable connection was strong. There was plenty of space in the "kitchen" area to put your groceries, the fridge was the normal mini fridge size, but it keeps the food nice and cold and actually keeps your frozen items frozen. Price is also good, you get what you pay for and a little extra. It doesn't have as many amenities as a hotel would, but it's great if you're just looking for a place to eat, sleep and hang out during your trip.

The Wifi was very spotty, had to use data on our phones most of the stay. Don't know if that was because of the cold weather or the placement of our room because all our previous stays the Wifi has been great. Also the parking spot associated with our room was down a flight of stairs and pretty inconvenient. We ended up leaving the car running in the lot near our room, taking in our luggage/groceries and then parking. It was especially hard finding where the parking spot was after checking in, even with the directions the front desk staff gave us. Even so, this was the first time we had these issues and we'll definitely be staying here again the next time we're in Rockford.

The price and location.

The smell. We had a no smoking room but it smelled like smoke anyway, like someone tried to mask the smell but it just smelled worse. My husband has asthma and I have bad allergies.

Great Motel, Great Staff

As always, my trip to Rockford wouldn't be complete without a stay at the Alpine Inn. Great little motel for a great price.

Liked everything. Great place and value is awesome.
