The man at the front desk was an amazing host and delightful person! Only good thing about that place.

No safety latch on the door, dents and holes in walls, toilet paper holder falling off wall, mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and noisy. Basically the worst motel I've ever stayed at!

We didn’t stay. We came, we saw, we left.

We stayed a grand total if 15 minutes before finding another hotel. The beds had torn box spring covers. The chair in the room was not only torn but had something on it that looked like poop. There was one small window in the room. My daughter got white dog hair on her sock and we don’t own a white dog.

The people were helpful and polite but the facilities needed repaint and repair badly. The chair by the bed also had something on it, but I hate to think what. There was a group of people who looked homeless hanging out in the parking lot. We left right away and went to another hotel.I was told by the front desk I’d get my money back and I just got an email saying I won’t. I’m angry!

Convenient to beaches and shopping. Clean rooms, if a little small.

No air conditioning in rooms. Had to leave door open to get air circulation. Room was a bit stuffy.

couldn’t wait to LEAVE this property.

price, location, proprietor (“John”) who was VERY ACCOMMODATING when/how he could. Claimed a very tight budget.

Older property, appears run-down, dirty. Rooms are an enigma e.g. no AC, single window w/bent non-fitting screen, no ceiling fan (read NO AIR/flow in the room (only very small in-wall heater for winter); NO CLOSET/unit or anywhere to HANG anything. 2 very THIN pillows, single paper thin blanket (no spare blanket/s). Other party traveling members complained of no toilet paper in bathroom, missing bath towels. some members slept in clothes, as they felt the room/bed was DIRTY. One traveling member needed to address his reservation, only was able to speak with someone in INDIA??… even then it took a long period on the phone and multiple agents/supervisor to just change a date. if you call either the Newport Inn, OR their sister property, the Oyo Waves Hotel, you’ll speak with the same agents in India. For a $325 (incl taxes/fee) a complete seasonal price gouging rip-off. Would NOT recommend this property

Staff and facility was nice. Bed wasn't very comfortable but it is a hotel/motel so not to be expected.

I didn't like how from when I arrived and got to my room at 10:30pm until after 3am one guy was yelling and pounding on the walls and floors. I hardly got any sleep and that made it one of the worst stays anywhere I have had. I have been in a lot of motels and hotels through out my time and I have had bad stays but nothing like this.

Disappointing

The location and staff was friendly

The pictures looked better than the room. The table in the room was unstable. The stairs and corridor were not swept and dog poop in the walk way. Pillows were uncomfortable. Could use 4 pillows for a king size bed not 3.

Very good

The front desk young man was super friendly and helpful and it was a great price for a last minute booking. The rooms were very large and the King beds were comfortable

It was not the best. First room (238) we were given on our first night had a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door. Next morning my son nearly stepped in dog poop left from whoever stayed in the room before us. We had no pets. They moved us into room next door (238) and it was better. It appeared to be clean and smelled clean. Throughout the evening we found trash in corners and under the bed. I will Not advise anyone I know to stay here.

The price was very reasonable, but I will not stay there again.

The staff was very pleasant and the room was very clean and tidy. Absolutely no complaints about the cleanliness.

The baseboards were missing and plaster missing from the corner of the room. The lower corner of the door(the tip) was missing...looked like someone kicked or pried it open. Also the dead bolt was gone and I could not bolt the door and the door was loose. I felt very insecure, hoping no one would break in during the night...would not have taken much to get thru. Also, the curtains barely fit the windows, so when I had the heater on(heater unit was under the window) the air would blow up and move the curtains and anyone walking by could see directly in.

The floor was disgusting and sticky, there was no place to sit only a bed, no housekeeping is provided and was not mentioned in booking that you had to request it so I got no fresh towels until my last night when I had to call and ask for them, also had to call to get the trash taken out. I was staying for 4 nights. The drawers in the dresser were unusable as they were very dirty. The TV also did not work which I then had to troubleshoot myself.

no breakfast was included in our stay. The room was clean, but it had a light out in the bathroom. It was small and okay for a one-night stay. It was quiet at night, but the refrigerator was loud. The bedspread needed cleaning.
