My favorite stay in Del Mar.

The staff and the unique hotel. We are so lucky to have found such a great stay. We will actually visit family more often now that we know about this beautiful place, not to mention how sweet everyone was.

Wonderfully Quirky Inn

Loved this place! Wonderfully quirky with a fantastic staff & owner! I stayed in the Van Gogh room and it was just perfect for me! Nice little view of the Pacific! Everything was walkable. Totally an awesome vibe! Definitely will stay again!

Lovely Stay at Mes Artistes

Excellent location. We took lovely walks alongside the cliffs every day, and could walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. The room was comfortable, and the bathtub was luxurious! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The heater made some noise when it first turned on and there were some things that could be updated, but it was nothing that impacted our ability to enjoy the space. Would stay again!

Great location at unique artsy, simple hotel.

Great ambiance. Very artsy. Like how it is on main road but set back so feels very private. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

For price room was quite plain with even just plastic cups. Jet tub was smaller then looked on website. Faucet handle kept falling off. Fountain outside French doors was lovely but turned off in the evening, would have been nice to hear the trickling water through the night.

The worst ever.

Nothing.

Two big windows in the ceiling so the light came in. another window not covered and light came in. Doors and windows didn’t close enough so wind came in all night. The wind made some other noise so very difficult to sleep. It was freezing cold. The television is a joke, at least 30 years old and miniature. Shower without power and not hot enough. We made an upgrade for sea view for 70 $ and saw very little and got the smallest room in the hotel. When I complained and said it was the worst experience in our life the manager said he had stayed in that room for a long time and it was his favorite room. The room is called Van Gogh. I asked for compensation and the manager said I should have asked before??? I don’t know when we should have done that? In the middle of the night?

The ocean view from the room exceeded my expectations compared to the pics online. The location is excellent! Easy walk to restaurants and coffee. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.

We were literally put out on the street because we asked for clean towels!!

Extremely dirty!!!!Let's talk about a hotel that wants an extra $50 cleaning fee for my emotional support dog. As soon as we arrived, the woman at the reception neglected us as much as she could. Yes, I understand that you are alone on shift, but when you talk to us and in the middle of a conversation you slam the window in our face (3 times! ) this is overkill. She just decided that answering the phone and chatting on the phone was more important than us. We couldn't get into the room for 20 minutes. And after that she refused to let us in because of the dog. This is an pet-friendly hotel!!! This has never happened to me before! I understand that if my dog(corgi) suddenly does something (which has never happened, and we travel constantly), then I will pay. But paying for cleaning, which is not there, is ridiculous. She said that I could not pay if I quote "I would be in a wheelchair"!!! The room is terribly dirty (photo attached), there are a lot of dead insects on the floor and live spiders everywhere. One spider was sitting right on the towel! And all the towels are stained! (Photo attached) when my husband asked for new towels, he was given even dirtier ones!!! And the manager and that woman laughed and said, "maybe you need a new hotel." Unacceptable! And they kicked us out!!! Because they don‘t have clean towels!!!
