Wonderful historic property, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable, good sized room, and charming touches throughout the building. Continental breakfast was tasty and a good value.
Beds were a little stiff

Comfortable and welcoming. All the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. It was great to sit by the fire in comfortable chairs and just read.
Only suggestion is to improve the breakfast — which was just so-so.

A wonderful, welcoming Inn with exceptional staff. The quality and comfort exceeded my expectations.

We went in December and there is a stunning replica model village which is lit in the foyer - it's a sign of the care and consideration the staff put into our whole stay. Dartmouth college is a short drive away and with gentle snow, the whole area looked magical. The food in the restaurant was also excellent and worth a trip all by itself so we'll definitely be going back for more New England hospitality.

location, age of the Inn
bathroom was very, very tiny

The room felt like home. High ceilings and fire place made it so cozy. Heated towel rack was a plus! The shared living room spaces in the main Inn were welcoming and very cozy as well. Multiple fireplaces, sofas added to the ambiance. We also ate at the restaurant. While the food was ok, the beer was great!
Bathroom was missing a sliding glass door but didn’t affect shower.

Quaint property near to Hanover. Helpful staff with easy check in process, comfortable and clean room with plenty of space. Historic property means lots of creaks, including footsteps from rooms above, but as we’re heavy sleepers who go to bed pretty late this didn’t bother us.
Value for money - very expensive for what is a nice inn with basic ammenities.

The hotel is lovely located in the White Mountains. It is a beautiful building.
Bathroom interior should be freshed up.

The service and friendly staff were excellent in this charming town. Breakfast was very nice and in a beautiful dining room overlooking a pretty property. loved the front porch and location of the quiet property.
It’s difficult without elevators when you have large luggage.

Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was an extremely comfortable King. The in house restaurant had a warm ambiance and the food was excellent. Best of all, I misplaced my very expensive hearing aids. We had already checked out when the housekeeping staff found them and the front desk called us while we were still in the area so we could easily return and get them. Above and beyond the call of duty.

Old inn with a great location, fun outdoor seating for relaxation on front lawn or porch, comfortable room, good restaurant for dinner, convenient location to Hanover and Norwich.
One negative - inconsistent with quality of inn - was breakfast. Poor continental buffet (like Motel 6 level) with few selections and low quality. Actually charged $5 for continental breakfast - I complained and they removed that charge. Management needs to up their game on breakfast.

The staff were beyond polite and very welcoming. It made my first time visiting Vermont that much more special!!!
Honestly there isn't anything that I had an issue with. Would definitely purposefully book here again.

Didn't have the breakfast; cost $10 as I understand it but did enjoy your coffee! And the kitchen staff were amenable to heat up my leftovers from the night before.
Rooms are small and crowded; restaurant in the hotel only passable.

I absolutely loved the look of the lobby and the sitting area; so charming and quaint, just beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I was surprised to find that there was not a mini fridge in the room. We had leftovers from some of our meals that we had to waste because we had no way to keep them cool.
